Very loud - didn’t sleep well
Went to hotel for a night away with the kids. Room was big enough but with two young kids, we were placed in Room 401. Directly opposite the lifts where everyone seemed to be very loud, including at 3.30AM!!!

Crowne Plaza Plymouth - Not a good experience.
My room was very cold on arrival and i had to call maintenance to get the heating to switch on, once it was switch on i realised that other guests must have switched it off because it was very noisy and kept beeping so had to switch it off to get to sleep. Also avoid rooms on the 10th Floor below the kitchen. I was woken up at 5.45 but the kitchen staff starting to prep for breakfast., So all in all a very poor experience.

Annual Plymouth visit
We stayed in room 102 a year ago, came back this weekend to stay in the same room, shower doesn't drain, kettle switch is temperamental, and TV would not turn on. I did inform staff this of these problems a year ago. I went again politely on check out to reception explained the same problems, absolutely nil care. Also I explained that we should of had breakfast included but I could only speak with a virtual assistant at Hotels.com again no care, left felling that was our worst hotel experience of 2024 will not be returning as we have the three years previously

Lots of niggles at a place we have always loved
We have stayed at Crowne Plaza on a number of times while visiting family and have been very happy. However, it is now looking tired and the service is not so good. Lots of niggles: Room extremely cold on check in, had to put the heating on then go to the bar while warmed up; no shower gel in shower which never got filled despite reporting it twice, the washbasin is blocked, window dirty obstructing view in restaurant, long wait to get served at bar, decor tatty in places. However, clean, comfortable and an excellent breakfast

Our room was in need of refurbishment in the bathroom. Missing tile. Dirty grout in the bath area. Cracks on sink , big piece wood missing on bottom bathroom door. We stayed for 2 nites for hospital appointments. On returning to our room , it hadn’t been done. Even though we had been out for hours , no towels bed not done no replacement refreshments. At the prices we pay I expect better. I am 61 years old and tbh, have stayed at this hotel originally since I was 15 years old with my parents. This is the 1st time I have had a complaint.

Reception staff were very helpful and polite. We were able to check in early. They recommended that we join the IHG group for some money off of our bill in the restaurant later that night. Room was very clean and had everything you needed. Restaurant was lovely, great view and amazing staff. Great breakfast in the morning, full English and continental options.

Missed bar snacks and lite bites/salads etcetera at Reception level but lovely welcome and cappuccino/yoghurt treats from Alex, beautifully presented/-… Reception helpful and attentive/friendly//-…. Mickey in Health Club fabulous Swimming pool oddly shallow making it difficult to enjoy a quality swim which was a bit disappointing but would stay here again xx Thank you
