Rude as hell staff. No window in room, heating blasting out. Zero fresh air so just simply couldnt sleep. Broken items in room. Told reception the man at reception didnt care, he even said im busy !! Lol No british people working there sadly so no British manners, real short and cold woth their responses. Told another guy in reception in the morning how bad the night sleep was due to how hot the rooms were and he actually laughed. My wife said, its not funny and he said what do you want me to do about it, fill in a complaint form and report it. Totally disgusting experience when your dealing with people who have no clue about customer service. Please read the reviews and learn, i even said that to the staff. Wouldnt habe cared so much but we paid £200 for the night to staff in this awful place. Never again.

Overall: Certainly the nicer of the two Britannias in Manchester, though that isn't saying a whole lot. The room was a decent size for one person and the location is well-situated in the Northern Quarter near just about anywhere you would want to go. Pros: • Full-sized bath tub • Roomy • Working area / desk Cons: • Walls are a bit thin • Situated on a busy back alley, so it gets noisy outside on the weekends • WiFi pricing is extortionist ($7 per device per day!) • The lamps are so big that your left with little room on tables and desks • No room service

Brilliant hotel. Location and price was why I booked but after my stay I cannot fault it in anyway. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room was excellent for the price.

My friend and I stayed here as we were coming to the Sleep Token gig at Co-Op Live. The staff are so lovely and are attentive without being intrusive. Our room was one without a window, but it didn't matter, as we were there to get ready beforehand and sleep when we got back. Overall, our stay was great and the only things w disliked were the peeled/torn off paper on where a window might have been and the stained carpets in the corridors, but we know that things like that happen in busy places. We also paid for breakfast the next morning and that was good too - as many hot drinks, water or fruit juice you could drink if you want to, hot breakfast items (mushrooms, scrambled and/or fried eggs, hash browns, baked beans, bacon and sausages), breakfast cereals (Rice Krispies, Weetabix and corn flakes), bread to toast (white, brown or both) with butter, jam and marmalade portions, plus apples and oranges if you fancied some fresh fruit. The rooms seemed to be well sound-proofed too - we didn't hear anything from the other rooms around us (I think the hotel was near enough sold out due to both the gig and the match at the Ethiad) and we heard no complaints about us - we hadn't seen each other in ages, so even though we were both very tired, we stayed up late talking and laughing. If I go to stay in Manchester again I would consider going to stay at this hotel as a first choice, as it suited our needs, plus the beds are really comfy.

Good Room
Ideal hotel for a 1 or 2 night stay but not sure how I’d feel about a longer stay. It was a little chilly in the room when we first arrived but there was a small plug in radiator which warmed the room up enough, there was also an extra blanket if we needed it. If you need to plug in a few devices on your stay I’d definitely recommend bringing an extension as there aren’t many plug sockets to start, and then we realised half of them were different to standard UK plugs. A recommendation for the hotel if it possible is to look at the lighting in windowless rooms as there is one main light above the door and 3 lamps that are all warm lights. Then the bathroom light is blinding white, which wasn’t ideal when I woke my partner up turning the light on, as it shines right into where the bed is. There isn’t much option for just having a very low light that’s enough to make your way around without being blinded. Overall hotel itself was lovely, entrance was on a back road, so I’d say solo travellers should stay aware of their surroundings if entering/leaving late but security guard was very friendly which put us at ease. Really nicely decorated reception with bars and restaurant on site

Upon arrival, i noticed dirty bathtub. Asking the reception to clean it, one of them came and rinse it by water. The room requires several maintenance Very noisy environment. Even on Saturday ans sunday early morning around 5 or 6 there is loud noises

Convenient location and a fine room for the price. Heat didn’t work but I found a portable unit in the closet and was a suitable replacement. No free wifi in the room and limited tv channels.
