Excellent as usual
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed here, but I keep coming back. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the scenery around the Clarendon is stunning, and the rooms feel like a home away from home. Some people maybe put off due to the Clarendon not being in central London, but I found it a respite from the hustle and bustle, and a great place to relax in between the amazing shows we saw (Titanique, the Tina Turner musical and Robin Hood panto). We’ll definitely be coming again!

Excellent breakfast service.
One night b&b stay Xmas day to Boxing day. Excellent breakfast with immediate and attentive service, despite large numbers of customers. Quality of service exceptional. Bedroom clean comfortable and serviceable. Quiet room at back of Hotel. Plumbing a bit out of date, bath with overhead shower only.

The hotel is in a great location with walkable access to Blackheath Village and railway station. Buses stop right outside. Staff are very personable. Hotel is clean. Breakfast room is beautiful with traditional options. I had a front facing room overlooking Blackheath common, the church and the street. The only downside was the noise from the street. Windows are not insulated. It is London and there is always something going on. One of the nights they were holding a Christmas party. We were still able to use the bar, no food available so we went out to Ivy Cafe. A little Fawlty Towers with the volume of people and staff being overrun but very British and we found the humor in this. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a true British experience. Montpelier Cafe, Ivy Cafe, Gail’s Bakery all wonderful. Must visit the church.

A wonderful hotel.
Always a pleasure to stay here. My go to hotel when staying in London. I was disappointed to hear rumours locally that the hotel was going to be turned into a care home for the elderly, please don’t let this be true, it will ruin my future London trips.

Great stay at The Clarendon
Just home from an overnight stay at The Clarendon celebrating my husband's birthday. It is in a great location just a stroll to the station and lots of bus routes outside plus the village is very festive this time of year for a stroll and only a ten minute walk across the heath to Greenwich Park, where we had lunch overlooking the Thames. Back to the hotel for the evening meal which was served in the bar area as the restaurant was booked for a private party. Dinner and breakfast the following day were very good, our room was good with views across the heath and all of the staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Yes the hotel is old with very creaky stairs but this all adds to the charm. Hopefully we will visit again soon.
