Was ready to give the hotel a zero after being given a room with faulty aircon. Phone wouldn't dial through to reception, housekeeping knocked on my door in the morning twice (before 11am I might add) and said nothing so difficult to understand what she wanted. It was a disaster really and ruined the first day of my trip. Was given a very rattly old tower fan which helped a little. Was upgraded to a suite the next day when aircon couldn't be fixed and the 2 staff members that helped me deserve all my gratitude. They really did want to help make my stay better so because of them I'm giving 3 stars. I ended up booking The Hoxton next door for my last night in London. Please sort out the poor communication skills! Housekeeping should not be knocking on my door that early when I have 2 nights booked. She wasn't aware I had a 2nd night booked but why was she at my door at 9.30 and 10.30 when check out is at 11am?! She was unpleasant too, saying something to me under her breath when I passed her in hallway. Wouldn't stay here again but I appreciate the kind staff that did everything to rectify the situation.
