Parking around the hotel is horrible, so they are able to charge an arm and a leg for valet! If you come & go often, then the price is worth is as there is a paid parking lot just a short walk to the corner from the hotel. Also the restaurant was FREEZING,

we had a wonderful stay. the Ambassador Chicago is in a great neighborhood, with lots of restaurants and shopping close by. The hotel is an older building in good shape. we had some sticky wood doors in our room, but it is well maintained. the bed was very comfortable!

The Ambassador is one of my favorite places to stay while visiting Chicago. Though, born and raised from Chicago, the ambassador is placed in the rich and lush area in the Gold coast neighborhood in Chicago. There's plenty to do and various lovely restaurants, luxury clothing shops, beautiful architecture and transportation nearby. The hotel itself is legendary for having renowned guests in its history. Its comfortable, lively, accessible, and staff is really keen to help and serve numerous guests whom stay. I highly recommend for people to book and stay. Plan to comeback and stay again :)

This is an average hotel with old small rooms. There’s not a designated space to work in the room, so if you need a desk and a place to do online meetings, this isn’t what you need. It’s very hard to accommodate a computer camera without showing the bed. The other option is to orientate the camera against a plain white wall, which isn’t very appealing or the best professional background. The location is convenient.

Considering it was one of the cheaper options in the area, but it was still quite costly for just 1 night stay, based on the room. There was no coffee-maker or microwave in the room, but when requested, the staff was very good at providing it immediately. There was no room-service available via the room phone, but going downstairs to the front-desk responded the requests promptly and were very helpful. The Tub in the bathroom had good shower pressure etc. but was very uncomfortable to stand in, it was kind of tilted inwards, never seen that before, and I've traveled a lot!
