I was laid over in DC due to a storm and booked the National Landing Hotel based on its website, which showcased a beautiful facility with a pool and hot tub—exactly what I needed to unwind after a long, stressful day of flying from Colorado Springs. Unfortunately, my experience was terrible from start to finish.
The front desk staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. My debit card—the same one I used to book and pay for the room in full—somehow wouldn’t work for incidentals, despite having more than enough funds. Instead of assisting me, the staff acted like I was the problem.
Getting there was another disaster. Two different shuttle drivers took me to the wrong hotel twice, forcing me to take an Uber at my own expense just to reach the correct location. After all that, any hope of relaxation was gone.
Between the unprofessional staff, the transportation mess, and the overall lack of hospitality, I will never stay at this hotel again. If you want a stress-free experience, look elsewhere.
