Sooo much potential, but not there yet
The customer service and cleanliness were excellent, and for that reason, I’d stay there again. The excessive heat (to the degree of a warning) created a challenge for the staff as keeping our room cool was difficult. Some aspects had been remodeled/updated but some things still needed attention. The fridge and dishwasher need leveling and remounting, as well as some wallpaper needs refinishing. Though I give them a neutral rating, I’d recommend them for their service, dog friendliness, and charm. I would like to see this location succeed!

This was an excellent place to stay, chick and quaint all in one. Matthew the owner was amazing the place reflects his view and personality. It a romantic and modern boutique hotel with a great and relaxing atmosphere. At night the lights by the jacuzzi and pool area combined with the night sky’s of Palm Springs stars just about seals the deal. I am very happy we found this place. Oh and it has a delicious breakfast included

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay it little piece of paradise in the desert! Very quiet practically had the place to ourselves. Matt and Ted were extremely hospitable. Always checking if we wanted things during our stay coffee Quiche or a cocktail to name a few.The hotel is 100 years old which brings on its charm

A True Palm Springs Gem!
My husband and I were pleased beyond all expectations! Matthew has created a gem of a lodging experience at The Westcott. His warm greeting, hospitality and the comfortable casual-funcky-chic vibe that surrounded us were do greatly appreciated. We had privacy yet enjoyed interacting with both Matthew and Ted as well as some other guests. The housekeeper does an amazing job! our room, the pool and the common areas are immaculate. My husband and I also appreciated the additional amenities of the breakfast, snack and cocktail hour! We will definitely return!

Great place to stay near the hospital
I had a good night's stay at the Westcott. The mattress was a bit too soft for my comfort. I would have liked to have drinking water glasses in the room and also brighter reading lights at bedside. The pictures / mirrors in the room and hanging rail in the bathroom were askew. Some cupboards were a bit grungy and some didn't open. The breakfast was quite adequate. The pool loked inviting and I'd have surely taken a swim if I'd staiyed longer. I would have preferred the large cats lurking by the food at night to be absent. Overall, I would recommend this as a great place to stay near the hospital.

I arrived to find the property looking as though it had been looted. Piles of trash and construction debris were scattered across the front of the hotel and one of the street accessible suites had been left open allowing anyone full access to the hotel while not a single staff member or employee was present to protect the property. Given the lack of service and security that were not provided I immediately asked the hotel for a refund and was told that I would not receive it. My exchanges with the staff, who did not have a the decency to call me, instead relying on the messaging service provided through Expedia, were combative and unprofessional from their very first response. That I still have not received my refund from either the hotel or Expedia is wholly unacceptable.
