We visited for New Year's, and our experience was decent. However, the property felt OUTDATED both inside and out, and it didn’t match the pictures on Expedia. We noticed an unpleasant smell in our room, but the front office addressed it promptly with some air freshener. If you're looking for a more modern resort, this isn’t the place for you. We paid nearly $900 for two nights, which felt quite high for a motel-like experience. **Pros:** The location is fantastic, right by a private beach. I recommend booking a beach room. It’s also just a 5-7 minute walk to Mission Beach and Belmont Park. The resort features a heated pool and a hot tub, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth. Overall, I would rate this as a below-average resort.

Bahia Resort is such a beautiful resort. We love the private beach, the seals are adorable, the dinning options are delicious, the gift shop has a little bit of everything, the staff is always so nice, walking distance to mission beach and boardwalk and honestly every room on the property is beautiful. Really love staying here!

We were able to navigate the city and beaches easily from this location. Would have liked a microwave in rooms, for lite eats & snacks.

The cleaning staff did not adequately clean the room, leaving it below expected standards. Additionally, the furniture and lighting feel outdated, detracting from the overall experience.

Fireworks???
As soon as we checked into our suite a huge roach crawled out from under the mini fridge. Called front desk to notify and asked for someone to come pick it up and took over 2hrs and a second phone call for housekeeping to show up. I was only offered to waive resort fee. Second we booked Bayview suite in order to see fireworks from 2nd story balcony except our suite had multiple trees blocking the view and we had to leave resort to see fireworks. Was first time staying here will probably not book again.

The staff were friendly. They gave us an upgrade. The rooms were spacious. The area around the beach was well maintained What was bad was we had a few cockroaches in the kitchen area and it smelled musty.

The hotel staff was great. The microwave and the dishes they had for us and cleaned every day was very helpful. I left 3 stars because when Expedia tells me fees are included and upon arrival Bahia tells me that they are charging a resort fee of $50.00 a night just for parking it was disconcerting. We did not use the pool or beach area so we did not need the resort stuff but they force you to pay it. I would have booked at Marriott Residence if I had to do it over again.

Overall pretty good but nothing to write home about. Room was clean but smelled a little I think due to pets from prior visits. Bed was disappointing was expecting a nicer bed for a resort. Bathroom and sink is small. Parking was an issue when arriving late had to park far from my room. Pool and Jacuzzi very large and nice although didn’t get a chance to use them. Gift shop was nice. Grounds are nice with a stream and palm trees in middle of property and nice private beach. Overall I think a good value and would recommend if you take advantage of the amenities. They do charge extra $99 for resort fees which wasn’t aware of at booking. And they do out a $99 security deposit for every day stayed which I did not like.
