There is no bathroom counter and no mirror because there is no enclosed bathroom. It is not very practical. I am glad I was alone because the shower is completely open to the room. Make sure you arrive at time or after your check-in time because you"ll have to pay 30$ to get in the hotel.

Great location and really well appointed room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One thing we didn’t like was the over reliance on technology for checking in. We found our room code didn’t work. Fortunately tue cleaner was still in the building and very quickly was able to call someone who came and reset our code. We had no issues after that.
Very weird location of bathroom sink but it was fine for a couple. May not be great for friends.

Great stay at David Hotel. Loved the user-friendly app and the well thought-out amenities of the room. It was quiet, spacious, and comfortable. To note, depending on your needs, there’s no desk area to work from (although the breakfast bar can serve that purpose - just not ergonomic). I highly recommend and would go back. It’s well located in the old port of Montreal.

The room was spacious with all the amenities of a loft apartment. It is very well located with shopping, dining, and the metro only a short distance away. There is currently construction next to the hotel. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend earplugs. Otherwise the room was very quiet.

Deceptively minimall - exhaustively full featured
A combination of the character of an Old-Montréal building interleaved with thoughtful furnishing leads the occupant to go on a scavenger hunt to find in-room amenities by tugging on the subtle facets of the woodwork to find a concealed drawer-style refrigerator, wastebasket, and full dishwasher in addition to all the kitchen appliances, dish ware and implements that you could need. Despite being extremely minimal, the space is cozy and customizable with thoughtful and customizable lighting. A note, however, if you're traveling with a friend - my unit had a glass-enclosed in-room shower. Looks great in the room, but not to my friend who had a full-on view of my poorly-tailored birthday suit (ha!) Parking - easy enough. Location - very close walk to Old Montreal if you're into that, equal steps to the metro if you're not. Basically self-service onboarding, but very well communicated. Just read and watch the provided materials. (I did not interact with staff, because I honestly didn't need to.) Only rub: 9-digit room entry PIN code. Not a biggie, I just wrote it down on the [provided] business card in case your phone dies. (After 3 days you'll memorize it... same number of digits as a phone number)

We took a chance on this hotel, and we are so grateful! It is the best mix of modern style and amenities, with beautiful original stonework. Such a hidden gem right in the heart of Old Montreal. Everything was walking distance, bakery, Metro, shopping, attractions. Room even had a washer/dryer, which came in handy after we got caught in the rain. Take me back!

The experience of checking in and the type of room we were given, was very different from the usual hotel. There were no brochures in the room, no lobby, and no one to ask about information in the surrounding area. We had no idea where to go for breakfast as there were few places available nearby and nowhere to grab a cup of coffee except a corner convenience store since there was no coffee available in the room. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. The bathroom sink was a standalone in the room, which made it difficult to shave or to put on make up since there was no bathroom mirror over the sink. This would be a perfect place for someone who is at a convention, but not for tourists.
