We had a good stay at Villa Del Palmar. Resort was very clean and the pool was great. Only negatives are that it is a little dated and the dining on site is limited.

The resort is nice but it took a long time to check in, under staffed. One thing I disliked is the preference to certain people from U.S. I am a Mexican American and seems like the staff caters to white Americans. My money is just as valuable as theirs.

After we checked in we had to be changed to a different room than the one given. Then the room we stayed there was a leak coming from the room above for what seem it was a jacuzzy. At check in immediately hit by their "club" to go to a presentation for their timeshare. I wanted to get some sushi on Sunday and their activity board said the were open from Monday to Saturday then on monday it changed from Tuesday to Sunday. Seems it changes every week but its inconsistent so i gave up and got sushi so.e where else

The Resort is an older resort however it meet my expectations. The AC was working great, the view from my room was excellent. The staff resort were great. Food was mediocre. The only real complaint I have is check in was for 3 pm but our room was not ready until after 4 pm. The waiting area you wait in is open to the outdoors and it was hot and uncomfortable waiting for our room. It was our first time in Vallarta we had not adjusted to the temperature and humidity. Overall I loved my time at the resort!

It was my first time to stay in a Hotel Zone property , as all previous visits have been in Romantic Zone . I was very impressed with the property cleanliness and my room was exceptional . I noticed that staff seemed attentive to the needs of guests and all that I saw were very hard workers. The only thing I found irritating was the brass band on the beach. It was in no way relaxing, which I feel beach music vibe should be ….. but that’s a very personal opinion 😊 Overall , a highly recommended Hotel Zone choice

I will never stay at this place again!! My room which I was told would face the water was facing the front street. Every time I walked into my room it smelled old and musty, came home and my clothes smelled of the room. The ice cream shop in the lobby where I went twice got my order wrong each time. I was told when I got there I was given a room credit for food so one evening I walked in and saw there was a performance going on and a buffet. I thought I would just grab a quick bite since I had eaten earlier. I put two tacos on my plate and a waitress walked up to me and insisted I had to pay for them. I said I had a room credit and would give her my room number, she said flat out no and led me to a cashier who insisted on me giving him my credit card, I once again tried to explain I was told I had a room credit! He said no, credit card !! I ended up paying a substantial amount for two tacos. . Nowhere were their signs saying payment was required, this was held outside and no one bothered to stop me when I walked in. When I checked out I told the front desk and she basically brushed me off. Never again will I go to this rip off hotel. Also they only give you one packet of coffee in your room for your entire stay.
