This is our second time staying at Ventus El cid. We love staying here! The accommodations are beautiful and very clean. We do spend the majority of our pool time over at the Marina pool. We have young kids and there is a slide and cliff you can jump off of. Plus just a little more lively with fun music and activities. We call this one the fun pool and the other the quiet pool! The kids love to paint the ceramics by the pool, walk up and get their drinks, and make bracelets with the activities committee. My 12 year old liked participating in the competitions at the pool like kayaking races and movie trivia. There are great buffets for breakfast and lunch. The fajitas and tacos and crepes are amazing and we loved visiting Aromas cafe for treats throughout the day!! We visited the Italian restaurant one night and it was delicious. It’s just very hard to get a reservation at a restaurant, they fill quickly, but this one was very delicious. Most of the times available we found for us, was during the 8pm nightly show, which we love watching with our kids, so it worked easier for us to go the the Alahambra dinner buffet. It has a different theme each night! Very good! The service at the resort and kindness of the staff is amazing. Each night at Alahambra our waiter was Enrique. He was the best! So kind to our family. Our daughter cried after our last dinner there because she said she was going to miss him! The beach struggles with seaweed but still an amazing place. We’ll return!
