The desk staff were very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and comfy. They have a little coffee stand, a breakfast restaurant and a bar and dinner restaurant. The town was pretty quiet and not many healthy options for meals but plenty of bars and pizza places.

The Lackawanna Station hotel is beautiful, hailing from the same era as Grand Central Station in NYC. Room prices are very reasonable. Rooms are large. City views are great. Bathrooms could be updated, but are clean, well supplied and totally acceptable, unless you’re very picky. Expect services to be a little slow, but still a very good overall value, in a marvelous historic building.

This hotel is unusual in design. Very retro. Rooms are dated but it's more than made up for by the unique atmosphere of the place. My wife and I loved staying here.

The walls were very, very thin. Like the people in the next room sound they are in the same room. The room smelled sometimes of sewage. I think this is due in part to the fact that there are no bathroom fans. Also the water in the sink and shower are yellow. We went out and bought some room spray and ear plugs which helped. The shower curtain is on a rounded pole that dips in the middle so no matter what, water gets on the floor and walls of the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was great.
