I don’t normally complain or write negative reviews, but in our stay, there were bugs climbing on the bed when I first entered the room. There was mold on the wall in the bathroom(no fan in there so I’m not surprised.), the walls were literally crumbling, the mattresses were very uncomfortable, and there were brown stains on the towels. Being a cheaper option, You get what you pay for I guess.

This place smells awful and the security doors have all been rigged to stay open with zip ties on the latch. Not at all worth the cheaper cost; stay closer to Carowinds and pay more.

Great location with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are small and outdated. Beds were not comfortable and they did not have extra pillows available. People were screaming at midnight in the room next to us. After like 20 minutes, we called the front desk, and it was handled promptly.

It was a place to sleep, that's all I can say
The tv was on demo mode and couldnt change it. the shower curtain had something dirty on it. had to ask for shampoo, usually provided complementary in the room. they didnt have conditioner. Bed made my back hurt, the window's view was a bush, no bag for dirty clothes. We just used the bag from the trashcan. Our neighbors were yelling, and sounded like a domestic disturbance. The girl at the front desk was helpful but only could do so much.

Location is perfect especially if staying because of going to Carowinds BUT the hotel and room could definitely use some major updates! The elevators for starters felt and looked like something straight off of a horror movie. The Hallway to the room and the room itself had a foul and strong order! I was going to pull the curtain back to look out the window and something dirty was on it so I was like nope pulled it back. Their was a streak of something above the Mirror in front of the beds. What looked like dirt on one of the pillows and a towel that had a stain on it. No mini fridge to keep drinks cold and the ice machine on our floor wasn’t working. The staff seemed real friendly and nice but the hotel itself i fee like could use some major updates and a cleanup!

Ok. Your Staff was excellent,very friendly. Your property was terrible, it was dirty all around, trash everywhere. The dog walking area was nasty not maintained hardly at all. My room for a premium room. Was small, the fridge didn't work actually it was cut off. For a Motel 6 across the street from a very popular Amusement Park. Sir/Ma'am you seriously need to upgrade the building and the area.

I waited 10 minutes for the front desk employee to wake up. She was having a nap on the floor. Walked outside to speak to expedia, came back inside and she was asleep again. And they wouldn't refund my money.

Almost ok not for families
I booked this place thinking next to a theme park would be a good stay for my daughter and I. Little did I know it lived up to the Motel 6 name. Walked in to check in and could see immediately more people lived here than stayed here. Front desk guy was very pleasant and nice which made me feel a bit better. As we walked to our room up the stair way after the front desk the smell of marijuana reeked through the building. Once finally entering our room first notice was door had been kicked in or something as the lock was all mangled. The room as well smelt of weed. The walls were a disaster and the bathroom was just nasty. It may have been good at one point but not to this day. It was fairly quiet but I definitely wouldn’t recommend for a family to stay here. The pool just didn’t look appealing we didn’t even attempt to get in. If it was just me maybe I’d stay again but never with my kid or family for sure.
