They have four resrautrants but we can booked only two meals for five days stayed the time for reseration from 9 am to 5 pm .we came to reserveres at 9 am but they give us the time is 9 pm she said that is earlier one we can have dinner at the restaurant and when we check in to restaurant had to waitted for one hour to got our food .We wanted to order more food .He said the restautrant was closed for order . Two restautrants was the same way to serserved customers .On the last day we check out at 12 pm but our fly was at 6 pm shuttle meet us at 3 pm from 12 pm to 3 pm . The reception cuts a wrist strap on our hand told us have to stay at lobby for 3 hours can not go anywhere without any drind and food servers for us she said that .This is the first time we comes to this resort was a last time never go back again .Thank you .

Very nice relaxing stay
My husband and I book this place for a little couple getaway. Place is in a beautiful spot. Amazing views. Some parts of resort do show some wear and tear but with the climate it’s expected. Pools were great. Pool side service was fantastic. Loved having an adults pool only. The pool chairs fill up fast so get one early but we never really had a hard time getting some but just not prime spots unless you get there early. Food was decent but for the amount of food they have to put out it was good. Wish there was more entertainment things to do. Dance club, piano bar or something. They did have nightly shows that we went to a couple and they were fun. Bed, sheets, pillows were awesome. I slept so good the whole 6 days. Shower towels were nice and big which is always a plus. Spa was beautiful. Beach area is a little small but pools were big enough. There are iguanas that chill around the pool which was neat to see. There is little restaurants along the beach and we had the best ceviche ever there. We would stay here again if the options is there.

We loved our stay at Barceló , staff was nice and helpful . My only complain is the reservation for restaurants are very limited but other than that Buffett was good with different themes every night . Good location .

We stayed at the Barcelo for 7 days in November. The hotel is located 45 minutes from the airport and the grounds around the hotel are very nice. The pools, restaurants, bars, shops are all very nice. The rooms are very spacious however the cleanliness / condition is somewhat lacking. It is also a very loud resort, music is going from 9am to 1am and the rooms aren’t well insulated so if you’re a light sleeper bring some ear plugs. We would say the food is average. The Italian restaurant was pretty good but everything else was okay. Service and staff are great and always looking to help. We had an issues with one of our rooms and they upgraded us immediately. Overall it was a good accommodation as the price we secured the hotel at was really good.

The property is nice. Pool areas are laid out well and beach access is great. Food at the buffet is good, restaurants are very good. Most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The tv in our room had terrible reception and the phone stopped working (which was inconvenient because when we went to the desk to ask for water to be delivered to our room we were told that we had to call for it. Twice we were told this. Good customer service would have had them deliver the water based on our verbal request, not tell us to go back to our room and call). Also, it is an all inclusive but for our 7 night stay we were given 3 coupons for the restaurants. We had to stand in line every morning at the concierge desk to make reservations for the restaurants. Once the coupons were gone, your option is the buffet.
