Comfortably accommodating 8 guests, with 2 queen, 1 bunk bed and full size sleeper sofa, this stylishly decorated, impeccably clean, waterfront retreat thoughtfully offers many amenities of convenience for both home and beach. Wood-look plank tile flooring throughout the open floor plan, highlighting a coastal white kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, including refrigerator, 2-burner stovetop, microwave, convection toaster oven, dishwasher, blender, toaster, and drip coffee maker provide everything you need to enjoy delicious meals together. Complimentary salt, pepper, spices, oil, sugar, trash bags, paper towels, coffee filters, foil, plastic wrap, dishwasher detergent and cleaning supplies contribute an added convenience for a care-free stay. The main living area flows seamlessly into a cozy Carolina room, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows capturing breathtaking expansive views of the waterfront marsh and the lush common grass area. It’s the perfect space for both relaxation and family fun. Enjoy the leisurely 1 minute walk to the best family beach on the Grand Strand conveniently nestled at the quiet North end of Cherry Grove. Relax and leave your worries behind taking advantage of all of the beach gear The Salty Dog Cottage has to offer. After a day at the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower and take time to unplug and reconnect with the people that mean the most as you grill dinner on the Weber Gas Grill from the dock and partake in a game of Corn Hole and Croquet at sunset by the gas fire pit.

COTTAGE POLICIES
We want your stay to be relaxing and enjoyable, so we’ve put together the following policies to ensure a smooth experience for all our guests. Please take a moment to review our guidelines before booking your stay:
Booking & Minimum Stay Requirements
• Mid-May to August: 7-night minimum stay, Saturday to Saturday only.
• September to Mid-May: 3-night minimum stay is required during our off-peak season.
• October to April: Monthly “Snowbird” rental available. Contact the host for monthly rates and additional details.
• Last-Minute Bookings: If you're planning a last-minute getaway, don’t hesitate to reach out! We’ll do our best to accommodate you, subject to availability and our minimum night stay requirements.
Check-In & Check-Out
• Check-in: After 4:00 PM
• Check-out: Before 10:00 AM
• Children: Children are welcome at The Salty Dog Cottage.
Policies & Restrictions
• Weather & Natural Events: We do not offer refunds for flooding, storms, natural disasters, or other Acts of God.
• Traveler’s Insurance: We highly recommend that all guests purchase traveler’s insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
• No Smoking: Smoking, electronic cigarettes, or vaping is not permitted on the property.
• No Parties/Events: The cottage is intended for quiet enjoyment. No parties or events are allowed.
• Vehicles: Motorcycles, trailers, RVs, and boats are not permitted on the property.
• Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is 8.
• Wheelchair Accessibility: Please note, the cottage is not wheelchair accessible.
Guest Registration & Renter Requirements
• Guests must provide the final guest count prior to arrival.
• The Primary Renter must be 25 years or older and must reside on the premises for the duration of the rental agreement. The rental agreement will be terminated without refund if this condition is not met.
• No Rentals to High School Graduates/Students: The Salty Dog Cottage does not rent to high school graduates or students or to primary renters booking for high school graduates/students during High School Week or any other time throughout the year. Any reservation made under false pretenses will result in the forfeiture of payments, deposits, or rental fees, and the primary renter and guests will not be allowed to check in.
Booking Confirmation
• After your reservation is confirmed, a Vacation Rental Agreement will be sent. Please complete and return this form, along with a copy of the Primary Renter’s photo ID, within 24 hours to secure your booking.
Pet Policy
• Pet-Friendly: Up to 2 dogs of any size are welcome with prior approval from The Salty Dog Cottage and a non-refundable pet fee of $150 per dog.
• A Pet Addendum will be sent for completion, along with a request for your dog's up-to-date vaccination records.
• To keep our cottage flea-free, all dogs must be treated with flea and tick prevention (such as Advantage) at least 3 days prior to arrival.
• Breed Restrictions: While we love all dogs, please note that some breeds may not be approved due to insurance restrictions. The following breeds are not permitted: Pit Bull, American Bully, American Bulldog, Mastiff, Cane Corso, German Shepherd, Akita, Staffordshire Terrier, Chow, Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, Great Dane, Siberian Husky, Rottweiler, Presa Canario, Wolf Hybrids, or any mixed breed of these dogs. Thank you for your understanding.
• Crating Requirement: All dogs must be crated when left unattended for their safety and comfort.
Quiet Hours
• 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. To ensure a relaxing stay for everyone and to be considerate of our neighbors, we kindly ask that you keep noise to a minimum during these hours.
FINAL NOTE
We take great pride in our cottage guesthouse and want all families to enjoy their time at The Salty Dog Cottage as much as we do. The cottage guesthouse is very clean and in immaculate condition. It goes without saying that we request that you please treat our home with great care as if it were your own.
