Our room was comfortable enough but difficult to regulate heat via floor radiator and old thermostat in the bathroom. Bathroom is in need of updating all around. This room is noisy in the mornings which we were told about ahead of time so if you’re up by 7-7:30 am, no problem.

Great place!
My fiance and I were in town for my father's funeral and staying here made the experience a lot better. Wonderful people, beautiful room, and being able to walk to downtown was lovely. Next time we go to Carmel we look forward to staying here again!

Comfort for couple and dogs near Ocean Avenue
We had two criteria for our Carmel accommodations. Walking distance to the attractions of Ocean Avenue and acceptance for our two French Bulldogs. Country Inn scored great on both. We like the quaint inn, but the updated decor made it worth the price. Very personal and friendly service. Simple but nice breakfast and day-long snacks.

Everything was good, there isn’t anything that made us uncomfortable or unhappy. My wife liked the bathtub with jacuzzi! We enjoyed the stay in Carmel by the Sea and we would like to stay longer next time.

We have stayed here many times. It is always set up to run smooth. The only issue and not any fault of the property, is the cars driving on the street travel very fast (over 25MPH) when the speed limit is 15 and this is dangerous and concerning when walking in the area.

Relaxing stay
This was our second stay with the Carmel Country Inn and we enjoyed just as much as the first time. The breakfast is delicious, and we love the goodies/snacks that they have available all day. The walk into town is a little arduous with the hill up and down, and uneven pavement, but I'm a little old and out of shape so it won't matter for those that are younger.

This is a nice inn just a few blocks from Carmel's main drag (Ocean Dr.), which has a lot of shops and restaurants. It's rather pricey, but then everything in Carmel is pricey. It was clean and well appointed. The breakfast was nothing special with normal buffet food that can be expected included at a nice hotel. We stay at bandb's for that special breakfast, which this wasn't.

Very Nice Inn
Very nice little inn with excellent service. The place is very animal friendly so expect to see dogs and cats around the property. Big comfortable bed and spacious rooms. The breakfast each morning was quite pleasant also.
