The hotel blends both new and old elements, and while it is clean, you can tell they are trying to make improvements. However, there are no grassy areas outside for dogs, and it doesn't feel safe to walk after dark. The doors do not lock at night, which can create an insecure feeling, especially for solo travelers. The front desk area is decent, and the staff is very hospitable and friendly. Additionally, the bathtub and windows are quite old, making it difficult to open them.

Unexpected
It was not the stay I was expecting due to the high-grade review. The lock on my door was not working. It took five minutes every time just to get it to work. You would think that upon arrival, they would share this information with the customers. The walls are pretty thin, and you can hear every conversation from the hallway. Eventually, the noise died down, and it became peacefully quiet. My room was changed completely due to having my pet with me. Originally, I thought I was only being moved to the first floor. Not getting a totally different room. It's weird since this is a pet friendly place, supposedly. Also, the restaurant list has restaurants that are no longer in service.

When I checked on I was told there was a $40 non-refundable pet fee. This was not mentioned anywhere on the website. Most motels onlybcharge $15 - $20 and will refund if no issues. That was almost half of the room price I paid. Very unhappy with that. Also the TV did not work and I had to move to another room very late in the evening. Positives were the staff was nice and helpful and the bed was very comfortable. But due to the steep pet fee I will not stay there again on my way back home.
