Noisy but nice
The hotel itself is very nice and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The only issue we had is that it was quite noisy as far as the emergency service vehicles overnight. We know in a city this can be pretty typical however we haven’t experienced quite that noise level before. It may be because we were on the main but if we stayed here again, we would definitely bring earplugs.

Beautiful property located a few feet away from the Magnificent Mile. Plenty of dining options, shopping and entertainment. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. Clean and well-maintained. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is included and well beyond your basic continental style. Plenty of options with warm items (reminded me of the delicious breakfasts you would find at all-inclusive resorts down south). The restaurant located in the hotel is also worth mentioning. The culinary options are wonderful and well priced. All in all, an amazing comfortable stay and would return in a heartbeat.

We will definitely be back to the Residence Inn
I thought with the price and being on the MM, the hotel would be just ok but it was wonderful! The staff were awesome (we had a few that were not) like the gentleman who greeted us when we arrived and the one with the dreads were perfect! THEY made the stay wonderful. We will definitely stay there again since most of the staff who made up for the others were great, and the location was at everything!

The hotel was exactly what I wanted and exactly how it looked online. Our room looked out over Starbucks onto Michigan Ave. Incredible-I wasn’t expecting that. Bistro on first level had great ambience, food and service. Older gentleman server was very good. Bathroom, bedding, decorations so lovely.

So perfect!
Beautiful hotel, clean and spacious room also beautiful, perfectly located near restaurants and shops. Hotel staff demonstrated excellent customer service, accommodating, friendly. Hotel restaurants offered delicious food and drinks. We arrived late and were able to have a delectable dinner w drinks. Restaurant had a varied menu of food and drinks. Looking forward to my next Chicago trip!

Most of it was very positive. BUT 2 negatives: 1 --- the heating system didn't function. Because of a glitch in the system to contact the engineer --- he came only after 50 minutes. He repaired the heating system and from then on it worked. The front-desk person was embarrassed when I came back after 40 min. because the engineer had still not come --- that is when the front desk person realized that the engineer had not received his message. I don't want to complain but waiting for that long was a bit frustrating. 2. --- the phone was really very dirty. (I wanted to call the front desk because of the heating issue.) Finally I went in person to the front desk because the phone was so dirty that I couldn't bring myself to use it.
