Location was great. The hotel itself was a little run down and it was like pulling teeth to get the room cleaned and replenished. Had to do it ourselves one day. Which is not what I want to do on vacation. We got back from lunch and walking. It still hadn’t been cleaned. We were told they were on the way. So we left for 2 more hours, even though we wanted to take a nap. It still didn’t get done. We were then told they were still coming waited for another hour. Than just went and got what we needed ourselves. They finally came at 5:30 after we did what we needed ourselves and amended our day around it. Which kind of sucked. It was our vacation. I don’t want to clean and go fetch coffee for the morning, towels, toilet paper etc. But, if you don’t care about that and higher end rooms… the location was great as far as public transportation goes.

This was the loudest stay I have ever had. I heard every single noise outside of the window - it was truly ridiculous. The hotel itself was fine but not as nice as I expected for the price. The paint on the ceiling was peeling and for some reason there was a bag over the smoke detector in my room. The room itself was clean but it just seemed like they chose the “cheapest” options of a lot of things. The staff was overall very kind - the doorman on the first day of our stay was pretty grumpy, but when we saw him again he was very pleasant so I’m assuming he was just having a rough day - which happens! I expected a lot more than I received for the price I paid. I think this hotel is fine but it is not somewhere I would stay again.

Okay for short Theatreland stay
The CAMBRIA is so-so. The room is of decent size, clean, well equipped and convenient for the Blue line (good if you arrive from O’Hare). The sound proofing is awful and on entry all we could hear was drumming from the street. We were on the 4th floor and upon asking for room higher up, we were given the 6th - not much of an improvement. We were due to stay four nights but checked out after one. Rooms are quite dark and lack character. The foyer is the same, not much of a vibe. Strange given how great Chicago is!

I was pretty okay, I didnt like how the tub wasnt all the way clean. The water shuts off at night, and you have to request for housekeeping. But overall decent stay. They could've served free breakfast tho at least

The rooms were not clean when we checked in. There was some dirt in the room and we had to call the reception to get it cleaned for us. The house keeping didn't clean our room everyday (even after giving multiple calls at the reception). It was just cleaned twice during our 8 day stay. There was no WiFi for 6 of our 8say atay

Horrible old hotel
I was welcomed by horrible and rude female employee who treated horribly, when I went to the room, the bed smelled terrible and the floor was filled with dust my socks went black in the first five minutes. I asked him to change the bed and clean the floor, and I had to wait three days and still the floors were very dusty. This is the worst hotel I’ve been in in a long time.

Rooms were food, clean big enough. No wifi for the three days. They knew three days before stay, which i would have cancelled and moved hotel had they made me aware. Very difficult to complete work calls. No room cleaning during stay. Staff helped with compensation, but i need to go through expedia to get it.
