My mother and I went to see Martha Stewart at the Gailard Theater. We walked meeting street and ate at Hyman's seafood before the show. We were having such a fun time, we didn’t want to leave. We decided to stay close and looked up hotels near me.. and The Mills House looked the most like what we wanted. It was very close. Perfect! We checked in and it was so very beautiful. We had a wonderful steak dinner with the tastiest broccolini I have ever had at the Iron Rose. We were outside enjoying the night when a ghost tour group came and sat with us for 10 minutes. He was telling us of how the Mills House is the most Haunted hotel in the US. The rooms are so luxurious and I had a well deserved bath . We walked the city all day. The beds were so comfortable. My mama said she cannot remember when she slept so good.. had to be years ago. It was a wonderful spontaneous mother daughter trip and the Mills house was perfect.

So I want to start with we want to leave a 5 star rating because this property is stellar! It’s beautiful historic clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing from check in to roof top bartender (he saved the day!) to the cleaning staff who were professional and amazing and finally allowing us to check out at 12 PM after our request - thank you! We stayed for three nights on the third night (a Saturday) there were two private events which closed the pool deck, hotel restaurant and beautiful courtyard. We as gusts were not notified that the amenities we paid for at the hotel would be locked down. We called for room service and in room delivery and they just didn’t answer the phone. Please consider this before booking or call them to see if private events will interfere with your interests!

We loved our stay at Mills House. It is a beautiful property with great customer service. Located directly across the street from some of our favorite restaurants, Husk, 82 Queen, Poogan’s Porch. Easy walk to all the best shops and attractions.
