Definitely a quirky place to stay. Very much a not-hotel hotel. They took everything you probably don't like about a hotel and made it different. Mostly in a good way. Bright colors in the rooms. Rooms with character. "European quilts on the beds which are comfy and cozy, but we found they tended to slide onto the floor while sleeping. Has a very "keep Portland weird" vibe. We did notice that sound carried easily in the hotel, so not as quiet as it could be. Very little outside noise though and our room had a very nice view of the river. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for something a little different. One downside is they have a nightly resort fee a parking fee, and lodging tax (in no sales tax Oregon!) that drives up the room price to about $200 / night when the advertised price was around $130. Just beware and watch the final price and read diligently.

Complimentary beverages, location, staff and down comforters were great! Bed was TERRIBLE - soft, saggy :-/ Morning coffee Keurig was so wasteful. Why not have large pot downstairs like most hotels?

I’ve stayed at other Stay Pinapple hotels. This one appears to be an “older” hotel that The Staypineapple chain took over. It’s clean, it’s convenient, great parking. It’s clearly a dated hotel they have tried to put thier Staypinapple brand and touch on. The staff and service was superb. Room a little dated, but clean and acceptable. Not as nicely decorated as othe Staypinnaples. The bed was comfortable and stayed true to the Staypinnaple reputation for comfortable bedding. Our only complaint was the room temperature. It clearly is a dated temperature system that really can’t be adjusted properly in your room by the hotel guests. The staff seems to be aware of this because we were told the hotel temperature was in “winter mode” but if we needed a fan the hotel would provide. We didn’t know what that meant, but soon found out when we tried to sleep and our room was pretty toasty and too warm. Rest of our stay was great for the value.we liked the convenient parking and the restaurant attached to the hotel was very good!

The bedding was very comfortable and cozy. The front desk guest services were friendly. We had to call down to make a few requests and they took care of a couple issues. We enjoyed the hotel’s restaurant drinks; the food was just okay and was very limited. There’s only one person working as host and bartender and she wasn’t that friendly.

I have stayed there before and had no criticism but this time the shower was dirty - a clump of black hairs at the drain - I am fair so not mine. A leaking conditioner container so a lot of conditioner on the floor beneath - a slipping hazard. Also the restaurant was closed both the day I arrived and the day I left - this is apparently regular for Mondays & Tuesdays but I did not seen this posted anywhere and was counting on the convenience. I think the shower was an anomally as the rest or the room was clean but the hair was very offputing.

The staff was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Once you leave the lobby though the hotel is really run down. The room I was in was not clean, with a lot of random stains on the walls/towels/appliances/etc. The a/c did not seem to work at all so the room was really stuffy. The bed sagged a lot in the middle so I had to sleep on the far edge. The streaming option on the television did not work but thankfully the WiFi did. I only stayed for one night so I didn't bother to request a new room. Additionally, I'm not sure if this is a city thing or a Portland thing but for some reason the attached restaurant was not open on Monday or Tuesday so I was not able to dine there during my stay. I'll repeat though that the staff was absolutely wonderful and if I has planned to stay longer I have no doubt that they would have helped me to get a new room.

Great location, Pet friendly, Nice restaurant
We've stayed at this hotel a number of times and enjoy it for the price, location, comfort and amenities, and because they are super pet friendly. Their restaurant has excellent food and the evening bartender was a wiz with cocktails. If you're travelling with a dog, there's really no better spot. The hotel is right across the street from the riverwalk park, making for an easy walk with your furry friend.
