Disappointing Experience at Holiday Inn Amsterdam I had high hopes for this stay, but unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. Upon arrival at 8:00 PM, I discovered that the doors at the entrance where my Uber driver dropped me off were locked. After wandering around the corner to find an alternative entrance, I was faced with two flights of stairs to climb while lugging heavy ski trip bags. Once inside, I had to take an elevator just to reach the lobby, which added to the inconvenience. The room itself was not up to standard either. The base of the shower door was filthy, covered in a black, gummy residue that became evident when wiped with a tissue. It was shocking to see such poor cleanliness in a well-known hotel chain. I reported the issue to the staff, who promised to send someone to address it, but it left a negative impression on the overall stay. Also the has no drawers to unpack your bags or no closet. It’s pretty bare. Overall, the combination of accessibility challenges, cleanliness, and no where for your clothes issues made this a disappointing experience. I would hesitate to book here again unless significant improvements are made.

Nice stay, shame about the aircon!
Everything was up to the standards that I expect from a Holiday Inn Express, except for one thing. The room was freezing cold, I slept under two quilts. I tried to turn the aircon temperature up - no difference. I tried to switch it off - nothing. I switched the electricity off - the aircon was still on. Where does it say that guests like to be cold in bed in the winter? Thus I slept badly, as my feet and hands were cold.

The reception and breakfast staff were excellent. The cleaning staff are lazy. We arrived to blocked and dirty shower and on the last day they turned up after 4pm to clean our room when we had been out all day. The shower button is broken and our water temperature fluctuates to hot and cold.

Property is tired and needs some basic maintenance to improve the standard. Breakfast options were very limited and never changed and the breakfast area is very cramped. When we arrived at our room there were signs it hadn’t been cleaned as there was rubbish on the bed, a dirty cup, a sodden bath mat in the shower and beds looked slept in. We spoke to reception and due to being fully occupied they said they would get someone to clean our room, however this consisted of giving us clean towels and clean cups, I specifically had to ask for bedding to be changed. No actual cleaning or sanitation of bathroom or room occurred. Our shower also didn’t drain so had to report this to reception and it was fixed. Have stayed at other Holiday Inn Expresses throughout Europe that were much better.

The room was not in good condition - the tap dripping water and pipe making vibration noise all night. There are dirty towers in the bath room and bed side when first walked in. The check in was terrible - the staff insisted my credit card payment was not successful and want to charge my card again until their manager intervened and prevented me being charged twice (the person at the reception was poorly trained...). But the staff who replaced the dirty towers was very friendly and helpful.

Perfectly Situated, Great Price, Friendly Staff.
Booked all inclusive with breakfast and parking at a very reasonable price for 5 nights. Staff were fantastic and very welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and spacious with all necessities. The hotel is less than a minute walk from the station which only takes 5 mins to Amsterdam Centraal. Very happy with our stay and it felt safe and convenient coming back after each night out. Ebru from reception went above and beyond and assisted us with our additional needs and requests (needed a late checkout to repair the car tire). Will definitely be our top choice for our next visit to Amsterdam which was a blast.

It was clean, breakfast was hot and plenty, room was clean and adequate in size.The area didn't have a lot of options but the Sloterdijk station was next door and from there anything was quickly available and you could go anywhere, one stop to the airport, one stop to Central station, etc. The staff was accommodating, being from Florida we were cold, they got us extra blankets, explained the usage of the heat. They do not have coffee in the room which I was accustomed to, but it was available at breakfast and quite good.

The hotel was very nice , clean and very convenient for transportation. The employee were courteous and serviceable.I think this is the plus for this hotel. It.is right next to the train station and you can get to Ámsterdam Central station in 5 min by train. The only downside of this hotel was that the reason I choosed this hotal other the transportation accessibility was because in the room description was listed AIR CONDITION and when we got to the room, there were no air conditioning and when I asked to the receptionists, I was told that there's no air conditioning and the room only have room body temperature adjustment system that can't be controlled so all nights was so hot in the room. The room features needs to be corrected so the guests like me doesn't feel that we were scammed. Thank. You
