Disappointing Experience at Holiday Inn Amsterdam
I had high hopes for this stay, but unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. Upon arrival at 8:00 PM, I discovered that the doors at the entrance where my Uber driver dropped me off were locked. After wandering around the corner to find an alternative entrance, I was faced with two flights of stairs to climb while lugging heavy ski trip bags. Once inside, I had to take an elevator just to reach the lobby, which added to the inconvenience.
The room itself was not up to standard either. The base of the shower door was filthy, covered in a black, gummy residue that became evident when wiped with a tissue. It was shocking to see such poor cleanliness in a well-known hotel chain. I reported the issue to the staff, who promised to send someone to address it, but it left a negative impression on the overall stay. Also the has no drawers to unpack your bags or no closet. It’s pretty bare.
Overall, the combination of accessibility challenges, cleanliness, and no where for your clothes issues made this a disappointing experience. I would hesitate to book here again unless significant improvements are made.
