What you can expect

Take a full-day trip to one of Switzerland’s most attractive Alpine regions—the idyllic Bernese Oberland—and the magnificent Jungfrau Region. Valuable free time allows you to explore 2 famous mountain resorts—Grindelwald, also known as Eiger or Glacier Village, and Interlaken, set between 2 lakes.

From Lucerne you embark on a scenic journey through splendid countryside to Interlaken, the heart of the mountainous Jungfrau Region. After a stop in Interlaken, head to Grindelwald, a lively place perfect for active vacations. Numerous lookout points provide stunning views of the surrounding mountains including the world-famous triple peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Enjoy free time and if you like, take a cable car to the terrace of First or ride a trottibike in warmer months.

Continue by bus with your tour guide to Lauterbrunnen, a beautiful village nestled between towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. The Lauterbrunnen valley with its 72 waterfalls once inspired writers like Goethe and J.R.R. Tolkien. Enjoy some free time to explore the charming village, wander through its lovely streets, and admire Staubbach Falls - Switzerland’s third-highest waterfall and a famous landmark of Lauterbrunnen.

Full of mountain-fresh air and fond alpine memories, meet your tour guide for the return journey in the afternoon.

The double Decker bus was fully occupied as it came from Zurich. We're among those 15 people joined in at Lucern. There're only enough few seats left in the back rows. The bus arrived 5 min. before 9am.The bus is considered comfortable with large windows + window in ceiling (upper deck). A 30 min. stop at Interlaken give you chance to use the pubic toilet & showed you where the meeting point at 5:45. At 11:45 am when we arrived Grindleward. Those who paid extra (on the bus they offered you choices) for Jungfraujfoch tour left with one tour guide to take trains, etc. The rest continued about 15-20 minutes to a bus stop. We are free to walk around & can take public bus back to Interlaken by 5:45 pm (due to train rail maintenance there's no train running between Grindleward & Interlaken). My COMPLAINT was they changed the meeting place verbally (a paper with information of itinerary, meeting place were given in advance). I was panic and running around to look for the bus at the end !!!

This is not at all what I expected it to be! This was NOT a tour!! When we met the tour guide he right away told us that other people get a tour while we get dropped off at Grindelwald to do what we want and just meet the rest of the group at the appropriate time to go home (8 hours later). When I asked for further explantion since I was extremly confused the tour guide was so rude and said no he had no time to deal with me and for me to just read the paper he handed me. The place itself is AMAZING and so ridiculously beautiful but I would 100% reccomend renting a car and driving there yourself. Cheaper and convenient, being there for 8 hours seemed a bit much..

That's very nice tour. Grindelwald is a typical Swiss place to visit. Small but very charming. Wonderful day.

It was nice but you are basically paying $88 for transportation. They drop you off at the destination and then you have time at both cities to explore on your own, and then they pick you up. There isn't really much to it. However the cities were very pretty.

Excellent experience from Luzern. A very well organised tour. The highlight is the seeing the stunning waterfalls which make the trip worthwhile alone.

This tour is a part-guided tour, meaning that once we got to Interlaken and Grindelwald, we were on our own. The lady did say it a few times, and they gave us times to return to the coach and a map with all the needed details. If you can drive or take the train, you can probably do this trip on your own. Apart from that, both cities were very stunning. Grindelwald is a typical Swiss place to visit. Small but very charming with lots of character. When you get to Grindewald, you have the option of going up Jungfrau Mountain (you have to pay extra for that). Overall, you are paying for transportation.
