LA PROPIEDAD.
Aventúrate hasta el final de la tierra y mira dónde nace el cielo. Sumérgete en uno de los lugares más ecológicos del Caribe mexicano. Casablanca, ubicada en Sian Ka'an junto al pueblo de Punta Allen, es una villa autosuficiente y ecológica. Vive cómodamente con la energía generada por el sol y báñate en agua de lluvia filtrada. La villa ofrece una tranquilidad sin igual y una playa privada de arena blanca con algunas de las aguas más turquesas que se encuentran en la tierra. Casablanca se encuentra en un gran lote y está abrazada por el Mar Caribe en el frente y una laguna de agua salada en la parte posterior. Impresionantes vistas panorámicas del océano, la jungla y la laguna están disponibles desde la terraza de la azotea durante el día y vistas incomparables de las constelaciones por la noche.
Casablanca fue diseñado para traer el aire libre. Las ventanas del piso al techo invitan a la luz natural al paisaje tropical. La brisa marina se puede sentir desde todas las habitaciones. La Villa contiene una cocina completa, sala de estar, tocador en la planta baja, ducha al aire libre, múltiples áreas para comer al aire libre y 2 terrazas en la azotea. Casablanca puede alojar cómodamente a 4 personas, pero puede alojar hasta 6 por un cargo adicional. Las dos habitaciones de arriba tienen una cama tamaño queen, colchón con cubierta tipo almohada, baño completo, unidades de aire acondicionado y ventiladores de techo. Áreas adicionales para dormir disponibles en la sala de estar.
LA ZONA.
En el idioma de los mayas que alguna vez habitaron esta región, Sian Ka'an significa "Origen del cielo". Establecida en 1986, la Biosfera de Sian Ka’an es el área protegida más grande (1. 3 millones de acres) en el Caribe mexicano. Menos del dos por ciento de Sian Ka'an es propiedad privada, y existen restricciones para garantizar que los recursos naturales se utilicen de manera equilibrada: el tamaño máximo permitido de los edificios depende de la parcela, y parte de la vegetación, como las palmeras, no puede ser eliminado: un objetivo destinado a mejorar la relación entre las personas y el medio ambiente.
La reserva de la biosfera proporciona un hábitat para una flora notablemente rica y una fauna compuesta por más de 1000 especies de plantas, 379 especies de aves, así como una gran cantidad de mamíferos, mariposas, escarabajos, libélulas y crustáceos. Los visitantes pueden esperar ver criaturas que rara vez se encuentran en otros lugares. Esto incluye manatíes, cuatro especies de tortugas marinas, monos aulladores y monos araña, la rara cigüeña Jabiru, jaguares, pumas, ocelotes, flamencos rosados, tucanes y tapires.
El Sian Ka’an es un entorno diverso formado por un complejo sistema hidrológico. Contiene bosques tropicales, pantanos, manglares, pasto marino, ensenadas y muchas lagunas costeras y terrestres. También es el hogar de la barrera de arrecifes mesoamericana, la segunda barrera de arrecifes más grande del mundo. Aquí encontrará 84 especies de coral, incluido el "coral cerebro", que puede alcanzar hasta siete metros de diámetro. El arrecife es visitado por cientos de especies de peces, incluidos macabí, tiburones, sábalo, lubina y palometa.
Punta Allen, hogar de menos de 500 habitantes, es el pueblo más grande de Sian Ka’an que se encuentra al final de la península de Boca Paila. Sentado a unos 50 kilómetros de Tulum, el pueblo pesquero tiene solo unas 4-5 cuadras de calles arenosas que se dirigen hacia el interior desde el mar y tiene solo unas 6-7 calles de ancho. Múltiples mercados, restaurantes y otras comodidades se pueden encontrar dispersos por todo el pueblo.
El área irradia un ambiente relajado y es el hogar de muchas playas y aguas no arregladas que brillan en una sombra de turquesa que es casi fosforescente. Punta Allen atrae a pescadores de huesos de todo el mundo que disfrutan de los pisos de agua salada y la pesca con mosca. Las cooperativas en la ciudad ofrecen viajes de pesca, salidas para observar delfines y expediciones de snorkel.
