Lovely stay in beautiful hotel
A beautiful hotel in the city centre. Very friendly welcome and there was welcome drinks of water or cava. Bed super comfy and an excellent night’s sleep had. Plasencia is a small city so this is a good place to break your journey if doing a long trip.

What a gem! We picked it truly randomly based on convenience on our way to Portugal. What a surprise. Plascencia is a beautiful small city, and the hotel is beyong beautiful. Modern, comfortable, definitively a must if you’re seatching for a hotel in this area.

Outstanding hotel and location
This hotel is simply outstanding. From the location, a three-minute walk from the Cathedral and the Plaza Mayor, to the hotel itself, which is a beautifully conserved and restored palace that can't be more charming. The service is impeccable, and the rooms are cozy and very well presented. I would not hesitate to stay here again should I come back to the beautiful Plasencia, door to so many amazing attractions, such as the Jerte Valley or the Vera area.

The hotel is in a beautiful palace, but the rooms are much too quirky. Ours had windows only high up, hence with now view and there was a huge see through shower box right in front of the bed, no desk, no bathroom surface... just too impractical

Hidden Gem
Wow! What a diamond of a find was this hotel. Tucked away in the walled city part of Plasencia, thePalacio Carvajal Giron was such a surprise, in every way. The staff were superb; friendly, helpful, polite and the room was excellent, but the real surprise was the fact the building was the converted 15th Century home of a local aristocratic family. Although the walls throughout appear to be mainly the original stone, an incongruous warmth and cosiness pervades. A magnificent bed provides a wonderfully restful night's sleep, while the shower room and stone wash basin far exceed expectations. While the beautiful Cathedral is immediately behind the hotel, a short distance away, no more than 100 metres, is the Plaza Mayor, which hosts a selection of wonderful restaurants, each of which provides these most delicious dishes. The plethora of narrow streets emanating from the Plaza are home to a delightful range of boutiques and shops. All this complements even more the amazing Hotel Palacio Carvajal Giron.
