Quiet Family Retreat

We had a great stay at this condo and appreciated the nice care and remodeling the unit had received over time. The neighborhood was gated and very quiet, enough so to hear the ocean from the very nice balcony. Looking forward to staying in this condo or others nearby in the future! And for anyone wondering - there is a brand new lovely modern couch in the living room

Family reunion

Came for a family reunion. Didn’t realize from the listing that this was a gated community. Made it a bit difficult to have people stop by or pick us up. Also this is the first place I have stayed that did not have any soap at all available in the bathrooms -one small small bottle of dish liquid for a family of 5 for 5 days was not gonna cut it. Otherwise the house was clean and quiet. I loved the close location to the beach. I was able to walk there in two minutes for a long beach walk every morning. All the furniture has been updated from the listing picture. It looks very nice. (Although I was looking forward to seeing that super floral couch!) also loved the balcony where you can hear the ocean at night.

Wonderful location

We have visited Emerald Isle for many years but have never stayed on Coast Guard Rd. We loved the location of the property! The unit is close to the beach as well as all the places we like to eat & shop. It has easy access to both the beach & the pool & is very private. We hope to stay here again on another visit.

Spring getaway

Very well equipped kitchen Condo was spacious enough for us 3 adults to each enjoy our own bedroom. Large porch was definitely a plus Close walk to the beach.....lots of shells for the picking at the Point Good experience

Great place to try

We would definitely stay here again. The unit was super clean and comfortable. The beach is a very short walk down the drive, and beautiful. The kids love the 2 pools as well. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Lack of attention to detail

The location was great, since it was a short walk to the beach, and the condo as well equipped. However, even in September the deck was too hot to use. The fan in the master bath did not work, so the wall paper was peeling and the shower curtain liner was moldy. Two light bulbs did not work (there were extra bulbs in the hall closet) and one lamp did not work at all. The refrigerator was rusty and had yellow spots on the outside. Some of the plastic that covered the drawers in the kitchen was coming off. We were not told that the white cards we got in our packet were to get back into the property in the evenings. We almost didn’t get back in one night because we didn’t have that card with us.

Everything we wanted, almost😂

The kitchen has most if not all the kitchenware you need to make your meals, plenty of plates, silverware... Having bathrooms in each of the bedrooms was a definite plus. I loved the porch, it was like having a bonus room outside. We spent a lot of time out there. The walkway to the beach was just across the parking lot and the pool was a short walk from the front door. There was no pool furniture, but I was told by one of the other owners that it had been ordered and it should arrive at anytime. We had a few small problems that, with a phone call to the management company, were handled in a timely manner. It was close to the largest area of shopping on the island. Now for the Almost😂 It rained most of the week we were there, but not all day. We thought there we as a lot of thunder from storms going around us, turns out it was gun training week at the Marine base. With the exception of one morning, when they were obviously training on a field in our direction, it was barely noticeable. Overall two thumbs ups!

Patience needed, but nice beach

Property wasn’t ready on time—more than 90 minutes late. As we were walking property, a maintenance worker left a ladder on his truck sticking out onto sidewalk. My son ran right into it—hard—left marks and swelled. Patience! Beach is nice, but only one building is really oceanfront. Our building was a decent hike to beach. Patience ! Pool had no chairs; you had to carry your own. Patience! Walls were really banged up in unit, and we found some empty wrappers/stuff under furniture.

Not as clean as shown

We arrived and the check in process was easy. Arriving, we were so excited to go on the balcony, the bedroom sliding door did not work. The manager sent someone out at 8pm like we requested, he was not able to get it open. The condo was already musky and the pb blaster he used made it worse. We didn’t mind that to much as we told him. There were plenty of linens. However, the master bathroom shower did not work. Once we were able to get it going, what came at my friend didn’t feel comfortable using it. The bedroom I used, the shower curtain were filthy and I would not use it. We both used the first bathroom with the stand up shower. That shower was clean but the drain comes out and it slips around. We received cards for the gate (we didn’t know it was for the gate to get back in as there was nothing on the paperwork for booking or the packet we picked up). That’s us probably not thinking. There was only 1 comfortable bed, I slept on the couch for the rest of the stay. The fridge was clean on the inside but the outside had what looked like orange stains on it. All appliances work properly, the throw blankets need washed as the musk smell and feel. The location of the condos are clean and easy access to the beach. We did wake up on the last day with people putting ladders on the balcony to reach the one above us. Again, the property manager was nice and responsive but at the time I was already disappointed, there was no reason to keep asking for things after the first night.
