Magnificent
There couldn’t be two better hosts. I immediately felt at peace and relaxed! The views are incredible as well as the property itself. Getting to any thing that might bring you to the area is easy to access. It’s just off 550 and super quiet when sleeping. Each room has individual hvac so you can make it what ever feels comfortable to you. A truly magnificent experience. Thank you!

Colorado Gem - perfect peace with incredible views
We came to Colorado for a memorial. This home was perfect and exactly as listed. The views are incredible on all sides, all the comforts of home, and great location right on 550. Our host, Sue, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Definitely would choose to stay here again.

Perfect Home Base
This property was exactly as described in the listing. What a perfect location for a home base. Not too far from Ridgway and Ouray, as well as Montrose and Gunnison. Lots of day-trip opportunities all the way around. The home was well appointed. We had everything we needed for our short stay. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. There were live plants and fresh-cut flowers, making the home warm and welcoming. We will be back. Thank you!

Absolutely Perfect!
Absolutely perfect! My wife and I and another couple rented the house for a vacation get away / hunting trip. Sue, the owner, was an awesome host, very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed and gave us great advice on the local attractions and dining. The location was perfect for sight seeing and hunting. Montrose was approximately 7 miles away, which had all the essentials we could ask for. Ouray was a 1/2 hour drive, and Telluride an hour away. The house was exceptionally clean, and the layout of the house was perfect for couples. It basically had two master bedrooms with their own bathrooms, separated by a living room, kitchen and dining room. We were definitely happy with the whole experience and would highly recommend this rental. And will try to rent this place again in the future!

A must book property
Such a beautiful house with lots of windows to see the spectacular views of the mountains. Its close enough to town thats its not inconvenient, IE groceries and such. But far enough out of town that you can actually see the stars. The host is very kind and accommodating. She even anticipated some of our needs, such as leaving an ironing board and iron knowing we were there for a wedding! She even left us some information on places to eat, and things to see and do. We are forever thankful and greatful for getting the oppurtunity to rent this property and for the host! If you havent booked yet, do it! You will be happy you did!!!!

Cozy, Comfortable, Clean - Great Stay
This property was exactly as advertised. Sue was a great host, very responsive to messages and provided excellent information about the surrounding area. The entire process, from check-in to check-out, was very straight-forward. The rental was new and well designed; bright, clean and well provisioned. It seemed obvious that Sue had put a great deal of thought into providing a great place to stay. I would highly recommend this property. Thanks Sue!

Great House!
We had a great stay at this property! The owners are very friendly and easy to work with. The house is very new and clean and the location is perfect situated in the country outside of the city. We visted Colorado National Monument, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, drove the Million dollar Higway, hiked the Blue Lakes trail, and visited Telluride from this location. We can't go wrong renting this home.

Best VRBO Ever
One of the most unique and nicest VRBO’s I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. Everything was new and sparkling clean. So many nice touches, from the card and snacks welcoming us to the fresh flowers on the table. Mike and Sue thought of everything to make travelers feel at home. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a safe and comfortable place to stay while in the Montrose area.

Awesome!
This is an incredible property and Sue is the consummate host! We will definitely return again to enjoy this wonderful house and the beautiful views of the mountains and night sky through the floor to ceiling south facing windows. We are already looking forward to the next visit. BTW Sue lives right next to the property so is readily available should any problems arise.

Beautiful home located close to many amazing areas
This home was simply amazing from the great location to the beautiful decor and most of all the hospitality given by the owners. Located just south of Montrose which put it close to several amazing attractions. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone who is going to be in the area.

Amazing experience
What a great stay. Sue and Mike were the most friendly and accommodating hosts we've ever had. The house was immaculate when we arrived, and they have it stocked with everything you could need. The view is beautiful and the proximity to so many things in the area is very convenient. We highly recommend and give an enthusiastic 5 stars!

Too close for comfort
The property was clean and nearly new. The location was convenient to area attractions. Only negative is that we didn’t feel like we had much privacy. This unit is basically in the driveway of the owner’s residence. The internet service is minimal. You will need a hotspot to get any work done.

Family vacation
My family had a wonderful stay at this house outside of Montrose. We have stayed in many rental houses and we all agreed that this one was the absolute best. The location, amenities, cleanliness and the view far exceeded our expectations. Sue is a wonderful host and thinks of everything to make your stay enjoyable. The location of the house is perfect for dinner in Montrose or Ouray - just a quick 10-20 minute drive. The size of the house was perfect for our family of 4. We hope to stay here again on our next trip to the Montrose/Telluride area.

Excellent "Base Camp"
The location is excellent if you want to see all the San Juan Mountains have to offer. No, its not secluded in the mountains. Yes it is easily accessible off of highway 550. It is a short jaunt to Montrose for easy access to groceries, restaurants, bars, etc. Its about a half hour from Black Canyon of the Gunnison Nat'l Park, 35 - 45 minustes to Ouray, and just over an hour to Telluride. Sue and Michael are excellent hosts. The property is fenced and Sue and Michael live there as well. So, security is very good. I will be back.
