Fantastic Secluded Getaway
The property was totally "as advertised," with all the amenities listed. The hot tub is a great add-on and the outdoor firepit is perfect if it's not too hot. It's great for roasting hot dogs and/or s'mores. There were plenty of pots, pans and utensils to do just about any type of cooking you want . . . even a nice griddle. Alex, the host was incredibly communicative throughout the visit and very thoughtful and helpful in quickly resolving any issue or question I had. If you want a really quiet, remote "getaway," this is it. With that, however, you're about 25 minutes from town, including groceries, supplies, gas . . . etc. Not a big deal, but just plan for it. It's close to Natural Bridge State Park and hiking at that Park or even along the Maury River is quiet and enjoyable. There are several wineries close (within 25 minutes) that also offer a different vibe than might normally expect with a trip/venue like this.

Perfect Accommodations
We were seeking a much needed quiet weekend getaway and this property fit the bill and then some! The house was immaculate and well appointed. The host communicated well and offered suggestions of things to do in the area. We will be returning!

Great location for AT Hiking
Place was very clean and bed was comfortable. Nice outdoor porch area that we heard thunder and saw lightning and watched a heavy downpour of rain. All very nice and relaxing. House was a base from which we hiked several sections of the Appalachian Trail. Well-located to many entrances and exits to the trail. Wifi was very good and we were able to get good cell coverage at the house (Verizon). All in all a very comfortable stay.

Perfectly Quiet Getaway
We had a wonderful time in rural Lexington VA. Excellent location to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature but also close to local attractions and restaurants. We had a fun filled family (four-paw family as well) week of hiking at The Natural Bridge State Park, and Robertson Lake, tubing down the James River in Buchanan, ziplining in Floyd, exploring the Caverns at Natural Bridge, and the Ghost Tour of Lexington. All are dog-friendly activities. The patios of Devils Backbone and Heliotrope are very dog friendly restaurants. Lexington offers really good restaurants and shopping. We loved driving back to the house to relax in the hot tub and around the campfire with s'mores.

Wow, what a hidden gem!! It's a great location with many trees and an awesome place to unwind. The house is super clean and spacious. So easy to hang out in the kitchen that flows right into the family room. The outside 2nd floor large balcony was a great space to end the night. The king beds were so comfortable to get rejuvenated for the next morning. Alex, the host, was awesome to chat with. She was so responsive to any question we had. That made our stay so much more enjoyable. Can't wait to stay there again!!

Small family get away
This was such an amazing home for our little getaway. Walking in the this beautiful home. It smelled and looked soooo clean. The view especially at night time was absolutely amazing. Communicating with was great very friendly and helpful homeowner. We enjoyed every bit of our stay and plan on returning in the future.

The perfect spot for peace and rejuvenation while being within 30 minutes of grocery stores and outdoor activities. Loved seeing the deer at dusk and playing in the woods looking for smaller creatures.

We were on the go for most of the week we stayed, however the time at the house was wonderful. The hot tub is new and very nice. Everything was as described and the host was responsive and friendly anytime we had questions.

Beautiful Property, Sparkling Accommodation
Warm and cozy for our pre-holiday stay. This is by far the cleanest short term rental I’ve stayed in. Like really, really clean. Beds were very comfortable with nice linens (something I really look for) My husband and I worked remotely for the week. The internet speed didn’t quite manage our workload but we got through it. Lexington has some lovely coffee shops for those more important meetings. Alex was super responsive to the few queries I had. The hot tub was perfection.

Peaceful getaway!
The property was peaceful and secluded, although it is only 20 minutes from town. The house was spacious and inviting. The host was very nice, responsive, and accommodating. Two deer were right next to the house to greet us when we arrived and they came around for daily check ins. This was a great location for a peaceful getaway.

Great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle!
We are from out of state and attending a wedding. We decided to find a house to rent with friends closer to the venue and I am so happy I found this listing! The only thing I wish that was different was that we had stayed an extra day to enjoy the house and property more! The house was spacious and well kept. We had everything we needed for our weekend getaway! The property is lovely and we enjoyed looking for the wildlife that passes thru. Thanks for sharing this home with everyone!

Truly Deer Manor
Truth in advertising for sure as we had a good-sized deer waiting for us in the drive as we arrived. We lost count between the what we saw on property as well as surrounding. This is a wonderful getaway spot in the woods with an ample porch for getting disconnected from the rest of the world and connected to nature.
