Crow's Nest! Guest house-bike trail to Lewes beach

The “Crow’s Nest” is a 1 bedroom/1 bath fully detached upstairs guest apartment with a living room and fully stocked kitchen. Dine al fresco on nice evenings under our pergola and café lights surrounded by lush landscaping in the summer. We also provide lawn games such as croquet and cornhole along with summer beach essentials like chairs and umbrellas.
We are less than .4 mi away from the Lewes Georgetown Bike trail and 3.7 mi to Lewes beach. We have super easy transit to the beach for bicycle riders (hint: bike parking is free parking) via the Georgetown Lewes Bike Trail. Walk to Old World Bread Bakery for coffee and breakfast or Beach Time Distilling for an early cocktail or take the bike trail just 2 miles to the new (and awesome) Lewes Brewing Company.
Wifi and a desk provides a great work space for the remote work warrior and a canopy bed allows for a welcome escape to our quaint beach town. Unwind in the evenings with a smart tv filled with your favorite apps or relax on the couch with one of the many books we provide about the local area.
Our neighborhood is convenient and easy to get to. It’s right off of Route 1 for quick transit, but backs to a protected wildlife area which makes it still quiet and tranquil. We are located just .4 mi away from the Lewes Georgetown Bike Trail and definitely recommend using it to bike to downtown Lewes and the beach! Using the trail we are just under a 4 mi bike ride to Lewes Beach. Turning left onto the bike trail, we are just .5 mi from Old World Bread (great breakfast bakery). In the other direction about 2 miles down the bike trail, try brunch at The Station on Kings or the ice cream stand Marigold in their parking lot (best ice cream around!). We are about 3 miles to the Rehoboth Tanger Outlets too for all the shoppers out there!
We recommend renting bikes from Seagreen Bicycles. Our neighbor's son owns the shop and they are fantastic and kind.
- Quiet hours are after 10 pm for neighbors.
- We typically request guests be at least 25 years of age to book but we do make exceptions.

Relaxing Trip in Lewes

We enjoyed staying in the Crow's Nest! Very cozy place. Enjoyed coffee every morning from the Krups machine. Walked around historic downtown Lewes. Imbibed great beer & food @ Crooked Hammock & Oyster Breweries! We paddle boarded @ Cape Henlopen State Park. Wonderfully refreshing anniversary vacation! Chris & Kate are fantastic hosts!!!

Perfect for us

Just the two of us getting an extended weekend at the shore, the crows nest was perfect for us in terms of space and geographic location. The hosts went out of their way to set up the grill for us, didn’t have to do that and it was much appreciated! Bed was comfy, the rental stayed nice and cool, we had everything we needed. We will be back sometime, thanks again!

Crow's Nest is the best.

Very nice accommodations, clean & well stocked. Liked that it's located near the bike trail. Outdoor seating was appreciated so we could eat some of our meals there in our own private backyard. Locked storage for our bikes & free washer/dryer.

Can’t wait to come back!

This is the perfect property for a couple who don’t mind not being right next to all the attractions. It is convenient to everything, especially Surf Bagel which is within walking distance. The property is adorable and has everything you would need. The couch and bed are very comfortable, and you have more than enough space to relax in. The owners were easy to contact and it was great to chat with them the few times we ran into them. We will definitely be visiting this property again!

Lovely quiet weekend

This spot was perfect for what I wanted, which was a quiet weekend away. It’s a snug, cozy little place, finished to a high standard and very comfortable. The host was lovely and helpful. Highly recommend and would absolutely come back.

Great location, clean, cozy and tasteful!

My husband and I were down for a few days trying to get a good feel for southern coastal Delaware as a possible relocation spot for retirement. Having done some research, Lewes is where we wanted to stay as it seemed kind of center of where we were looking . First I will say if you are looking for easy access to Coastal 1 the main drag taking you south to all of the beaches, The Crow’s Nest is your place as it is right on and off. We loved this as we were back and forth a lot. As far as the stay it was the best experience, the place is decorated so nice with all of the nautical touches, it was extremely clean, pretty and well thought out to have all of the comforts of home. The bed is very comfortable and we got some very well needed sleep. The hosts answered all questions promptly and were there if you needed them but they gave us total privacy. I wouldn’t even think twice when coming back and would stay here again. Thank you Chris and Katelyn, we had a great stay!
