We travel a lot, so we’re pretty particular, and this place has it all! Super clean home, historic feel with its farm setting and old buildings on the property, yet it’s newly renovated and decorated in a very appealing, simple, contemporary country style! The attention to detail in the home, from flooring to furniture to textiles, is so visually pleasing, practical, and comfortable. Very comfortable bedding and furniture, huge well-stocked kitchen enjoyable to cook and share meals in. The kitchen is practically half windows – such a pretty place for a sunny breakfast!
We loved the off-the-beaten-path location a few minutes outside Kanab, up a quiet side canyon. The sun seems to rise early here, and one of the best things about the home is the stunning red rock views out each of the big, clean windows!
The property managers sent us lists of fantastic suggestions for hikes and adventures a little less known than those in the big parks, and we took several of the recommended hikes and loved them! They sent good restaurant lists, too. They were quick and helpful in their responses when we had a couple of needs (like when we accidentally locked ourselves out).
With 2 bathrooms and two bedrooms + sofas and air mattresses, the house very comfortably fit 2 adults and 2 teenagers and seems like it could accommodate a few more.
This house was the perfect jumping off spot for a few days of hiking in and around Kanab! Our only wish is that we would have had more time at the house to relax and play games, because it really invites relaxation. We hiked so much that we didn’t have much down time at the house. There’s comfy patio furniture out on the deck, too.
We’d definitely visit again!
