Cute property, close proximity to the beach.
This property was really cute and a perfect fit for a weekend girls’ trip. A few tips:
1) Bring plastic ware - there is some silverware but not full sets for multiple people.
2) The photos show a bridge to the beach - note that this is across the street and to the left - we mistakenly thought it was right by the property. However, even across and over, it still took less than 4 minutes to get to a quiet part of the beach.
3) If you’ve never been to Surfside, just a heads up that the water is not great. It smells and I’ve never tasted it, but don’t think I would recommend trying. Bring bottled water! Also, this house tended to have some air in the pipes so the water would spout off-color on the various faucets when first turned on — this is not odd in the Surfside area so it’s not a “negative” as it happens at other places too (I’ve stayed in a number of different rentals in the area). It only took a few seconds to clear up, but I recommend not putting a your hands under the faucet or jumping in the shower until you’ve seen the water.
Overall a great stay - would stay here again.
