It makes me very sad to have to write this review. First of all, our card was charged before we even checked in. Upon check in the front desk attendant told us that the faucet on the hot tub was broken so don’t bother calling about it. You’d need a pliers to get it on. (We paid extra to have a hot tub in the room). The TV did not work at all. We were told too bad and that we would get a “nice discount”. The next day the TV still did not work and when we tried to use the hot tub the drain plug would not come up so we were unable to. The room was nasty. Stains and mold. When we checked out the staff was rude. We were told the GM would call us back and that never happened. We stayed here years ago and it was not like this. The place must have switched hands and gone WAY downhill. The whole place was super hot too. We didn’t take a chance on the breakfast because the state of the property was so bad you would not want to eat there. There are many other hotels in Dubuque that are better. Based on this experience we will never stay here again. This could have all been resolved without a bad review if our phone call had been returned.
