Naples might be one of the easiest cities in the entire state to get around. The downtown and Old Town areas are extremely walkable. Renting a bike is also a very easy way to get from one part of town to the other so consider the power of pedal. The public transit is few and far between, but there are Collier Area Transit buses you can hop on if you'd like.
Spring is the best time of year to visit Naples. It's sunny but not too sunny; lively but not too lively; and flowers are bursting out left and right. Traveling to Naples at this time can also save you a buck or two (and, to be honest, probably far more), as high season is yet to begin and hotels are looking to lure you in with sweet, sweet deals. Come in late spring and you can dine outdoors in the evenings, albeit with a jacket.
You're most likely going to Naples when it's warm, so you should pack... well... warm-weather things. T-shirts. Sunglasses. But you'll also need some Naples-specific goodies, like:
Soft white dunes line the shores, half-hiding opulent mansions and smartly-dressed natives from the beautiful beaches on the Gulf.
