Homestead Living at Lake Wenatchee

This unique one room cabin (with an enclosed bathroom) was built in the 1950's and is an original Trappers cabin. It was completely remodeled in 2020 with all new amenities.

Midway Grocery is within walking distance; you can enjoy a hot latte in the winter or a hand dipped cone in the summer. There is a snow park for cross country skiing or snow shoeing just down the street. The snow park for snowmobiling is about 2 miles down an adjacent road. Stevens Pass is approximately 30 minutes away for down hill skiing in winter and mountain biking in summer.
Leavenworth is about 25 minutes away. You can spend the day in town and then return to the cabin for peace and quiet.

Please be advised that in winter, 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicle is recommended.
The cabin sits on a main road that is plowed by the county and we keep the driveway plowed as well, but we are not responsible for guests not being able to make it over the pass in snowy conditions, therefore, refunds for weather conditions will only be offered if both Stevens Pass and Snoqualmie Pass are closed and/or it is too dangerous to travel, as determined by the WSDOT.

Pretty little cabin with everything I needed
I needed a place to stay while doing some volunteer work in the area. This was about a mile down the road from one of our sites, and 15 minutes from the main site I was working at. The cabin is very comfortable, with everything I needed for a weekend stay. Shower was a bit small but usable. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchenette was great, and well set up. Overall a quiet spot and comfortable for the weekend.

Arrival was great, it was a 90+ degree day and the owner had the A/C turned on. Very clean, cozy and well equipped, had everything I needed. Bed was comfortable, no complaints.

This cozy cabin is perfect for a single hiker/skier or for a couple who enjoy a quiet get-a-way from urban life. Close to beautiful Lake Wenatchee, trails, and the Bavarian themed tourist town of Leavenworth, the location offers many chances for adventure. Great communication with the owner, too!

Coziest Winter Wonderland Cabin
This is our 4th time here, so needless to say, we love it! I gave this cabin 5 stars (again) because it is exactly that. We always have such a beautiful time warming up by the fire, cooking up great food in the kitchen, sleeping awesome, and cross-country skiing in the area. We will be back!

We wanted a place to sleep while spending most of our time with our daughter’s and son’s families nearby. The little cabin was clean and cozy. Although we did not use them, it was well appointed with kitchen items and a small refrigerator and stove. The check-in was easy and the property manager very helpful and responsive to questions.

Anniversary Trip get away
This cabin was perfect! Literally everything needed was provided for the best two night getaway we could ask for! From location to instruction on how to use the wood fireplace inside! Great little get away. Cozy cabin has more things than expected including fridge/freezer, microwave, keurig, little tv with dvd’s, and an outdoor fire pit and grill. We enjoyed our time there. Comfy bed, nice lighting. Loved the little details in this trapper’s cabin. Had a deer visitor too!

If you're looking for isolation and quiet (I was—I was working on a novel), and/or if you're looking for a unique portal through time into a bygone era (I was—my novel is historical fiction), then you're not going to find a better place than this. Wonderful location just steps away from Lake Wenatchee, yet you're completely on your own (except for the visiting turkeys and deer, which I got to know well!). Loved the period details in the cabin, like the antique tools or the old trapper paraphernalia. An experience I will cherish!
