Good location
The location is great, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was good. There is a full sized fridge, stovetop and microwave. There are a few dishes, coffee pot and coffee. As other reviewers have mentioned, the property is old and dated, and a bit shabby but we were only there for one nite and it was reasonable for the location.

Old but okay
Rooms are spacious, but property is old and needs to be updated. That said, it's an okay value for the money compared to the exorbitant prices at other hotels in Vancouver. During our check-in, the person at the desk was having a very loud and heated argument with what I assume was another employee (at least I hope it wasn't a customer!). It was quite uncomfortable for us and should have been handled behind closed doors.

We would not stay there again. Depressing. Felt dirty and claustrophobic. Room didn’t have all trash cans emptied and there was a glass in the sink when we were allowed to check-in early. Definitely do NOT stay with kids.

Our expectations weren't high, based on the description of the property. We knew there was no AC, for example. It was pretty noisy with the windows open (Saturday night) until after midnight, then settled out a bit. The furniture appears to have been original with the building in the 60's, though the bed was okay. The couch is a spine-killer, and the TV only had a couple of channels. The place was clean, just old and a bit tired. But for our one-night stay, it did the job. There's lots of stuff to see, and places to eat within easy walking distance, and seemed safe. The free parking is appreciated, but the lot is very small. We lucked out and got a spot though. Overall a bit over-priced for what it is, but tolerable.
