This beautifully situated Northstar-at-Tahoe vacation home base is a proudly-preserved 1990s Sierra chalet with expansive views. Admire distant Sierra peaks westward across Martis Valley from two of three large decks. Soaring ceilings and an abundance of
windows take full advantage of the spectacular location and breathtaking sunsets. Gather with friends and family in the sun-soaked open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area on the main upper level. The dining table seats ten and the breakfast bar seats two more. Meal prep is easy for groups in the well-stocked kitchen with two sinks, gas cooktop, new electric double oven and ample counter space. Extend your entertaining into the great room wet bar area with beverage fridge. The back deck offers a private retreat with peaceful garden and forest views. All three decks are outfitted seasonally with tables and seating. The primary bedroom opens off of the great room and features a sitting area, remote-controlled gas fireplace, plus a jetted tub in the ensuite bathroom.
On the lower entry level are three bedrooms including a teen-friendly bunk room with TV, games, and a covered deck. Access your streaming accounts and Spectrum cable television in the great room, primary bedroom and bunk room. Pair your bluetooth device with the great room soundbar. Bonus: the garage loft is equipped with a ping-pong table and plentiful storage space for your sports gear.
To do: in warmer weather, hiking and biking trails are right outside the door as is Northstar’s public golf course. Guests of this rental will have access (for a modest entry fee) to shared NPOA amenities just two miles away at the Recreation Center next to the Northstar California Resort and Village. Amenities include an arcade, play area, pools, jacuzzis, tennis, pickle ball, and basketball court, fitness room, and sauna. In the winter, hit the slopes at the Resort or enjoy ice-skating in the Village. Village dining, shopping and a convenience market are open year-round. Best of all, a free seasonally available door-to-door shuttle service
gets you to the Mountain, Golf Course, Recreation Center, Resort and Village.
More to do: take a short (8 mile) car ride to all that Lake Tahoe has to offer. Nearby Old Town Truckee (7.5 miles) is hopping with restaurants, bars, gift shops, and galleries. Grocery stores, sports equipment rentals, office services, and more are all available near
the Truckee Airport (5 miles) or in Central Truckee (9 miles).
THINGS TO KNOW
• Please note: This home allows a maximum of 8 adults; however 4 additional children can be included comfortably.
• Visit www.npoa.info for Northstar Property Owners Association (NPOA) Recreation Center guest fee and opening hours
information. Entry for up to a total maximum of 16 guests and free parking in the NPOA lot require an NPOA Guest keycard -
two cards are available to our guests.
• No pets or smoking allowed anywhere on the property at this vacation rental .
• Download the Northstar Village Transit app on your smartphone for seasonal shuttle service to the Village, Recreation Center or Golf Course.
• Parking: 2 vehicles in the garage plus up to 5 more on the driveway. Motorhomes prohibited.
• Active wildlife area. Do not leave food, wrappers, coolers or trash in garage or on decks. Dispose of trash at the NPOA dumpsters off Northstar Drive between Basque and the
Ridgeline Dr./Castle Peak Parking traffic circle. (An NPOA guest keycard is required for entry.) At check-out, you may leave trash
bags in the kitchen.
• Security cameras: Two outside cameras monitor the garage door and front door areas.
• Placer County prohibits BBQs or open flames of any kind for Short Term Rental guests.
• Winter: 4WD/traction may be required in winter. Be aware of icy driveway conditions and snow falling from the roof. Street
parking is not allowed due to snow-plow. Stay alert to road conditions and snow chain requirements.
• Summer: As with most mountain homes, there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. Manage home temperatures with ceiling and table fans, and by strategically opening and closing blinds,
sliding-doors and windows. Fireplace is disabled in summer
months.
• Internet/Electricity: Weather and safety-related interruptions are beyond our control. Routine maintenance, snow storms, high winds and fire prevention measures may affect service.
• Martis Valley view includes a view of Highway 267 and the
lightly used Truckee Tahoe Airport.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
