Friendly staff, hotel located next to the ski lift departure. Good ski food. Simple but clean rooms. Thisis Switzerland so everything is pretty expensive un La Tzoumaz including the ski pass

Great mountain hotel located very close to ski lift. Staff were all very friendly and went the extra distance to make our stay enjoyable. Food in the restaurant was great, from breakfast included to meals bought. Was really nice that all staff took the time to give a personal touch from advice to being offered free samples of local food/produce delicancies.

We were disappointed with this hotel. There was trash left in the bathroom trashcan from prior guests. Pillows were flat, sheets were pilled, walls were thin and it was very noisy. No soap for shower either. Breakfast is make your own. There is a great cat in the restaurant however!

Old style hotel
Hotel at the base of the cable car. It is an older style simply run place -- no elevator, many steps. Although we had one room for all 5 of us, it was cramped. It was manageable since we were there only one night. Tiny sink in the bathroom (the faucet took half the room of the sink), but great water pressure in the shower. Because the hotel was empty during our stay (we were at the tail end of the ski season), breakfast was a simpler affair -- we helped our selves to the packages of bread et al that had been put out. The drive up the mountain road is memorable.

A bit disappointing
Nice room, but overpriced because: 1. No Internet in rooms, but only in lobby, 2. Breakfast was way substandard for Europe, and 3. Room wasn't that clean as it had red paint or blood on the back of the bathroom door. Hence, it was disappointing even though location was good!

No one at the reception, had to call the owner from thekitchen and wait for some time. The hotel itself and the rooms are run down. Bad smell from the bathroom.

The mountain view is spetacle, multiple ski tracks/hiking routes are right in front . Staffs are very helpful. Internet connection not very reliable though.

very disapointing
was not a good experience at all , firstly there address is wrong on the website staff were ordinary and not very nice at all Wifi was Useless and when I went to check out so I could continue my trip at 8am no one was about and was unable to pay my bill rang the hotel number go nothing but I do not speak enlish and I had to ring 3 times from a mobile phone at $1.00 a minute to sort the bill for the room so the room would have cost another $30 on top... it was crap .........the pillows were like bricks

The hotel has a nice restaurant, actually that is the hotel, the rooms are tiny, with liquid soap.small bed covers, bad pillows,to many floors, no lifts, cstrofobic, it is on sale , so not to much interest in upgrading,No staff to receive you , have to go fetch a waiter to get key. Mattress gives back pain, good for teen agers or people with a little budget, ok, expensive for a 1 star not 2 stars the expedia price in france was 30 euro, an we paid 130 or something like that,the are great for skiing, trecking ,kids, etc. probably commentaries on rating from people who never travel or no nothing better , there where better places for 60-80 eurosmore, with nice beds and pillows , internet was good and breakfast, you get to cook your own eggs.

Cheap, clean, good location
This was place was very clean and the best beds I have ever slept on for a hostel. The room I was in had two beds and two bunk beds with our own bathroom that was updated and very clean. The location is excellent to get to Veriber, when there is now and the gondola is open. Verbier is very expensive and this place is a great way to help your budget. It is located above a pizza place that has a great bar, the bar staff is great.

Fraudulent description of location
This hotel pops up when you look for accommodation in Verbier saying it is 3.6 miles from Verbier...In fact it is 24 miles from Verbier and no relation to the Hotel De La Poste that is in Verbier centre... So when we turned up at Hotel De La Poste in Verbier they had no booking for us and we struggled to find somewhere to stay... This hotel should be struck off for misadvertising itself. Disgraceful...Hotels.com..take action

Hotel was listed as closest available to Verbier where I was attending the festival anniversary concert & party. Actually there were no taxis to be found and the hotel is much too far to reach on foot, so I had to take a very expensive last-minute local room.

We loved this place
Stayed 6 nights and were very happy. Nice double room with a balcony and a view. Also bunk beds for the kids but we got a good rate and they had a separate room with twin beds also nice. Family run and they are friendly and helpful as are the staff. We got good tips on what to see and where to go. The restaurant is very good too. One thing that really impressed us right off the bat wash that the owner emailed us after we made the reservations to make sure we wanted two rooms not one. It showed us he cared about his guests We were there for the verbier festival so we were back and forth to verbier a lot. There is a road over the mountain so you can do it in about 30-35 minutes (probably less but we were cautious). We didn't mind this at all as it is a pretty drive and we preferred the quiet town of la tzoumaz to the bustle of verbier.

Incredibly memorable
We stayed at Hotel de la Poste in the off-season, which meant cheap beds. Needing a place to stay in switzerland and not caring much about the details, we booked. We were very happily surprised. The current manager cooked for us and made us feel very at home. It was a great week to clear our heads in some of the most beautiful scenery on earth. Granted, I don't know anything about the hotel in the ski season, but judging by our experience in the slow season, I would reccommend it year-round.

The staff are truly exceptional. They went above and beyond any expectations and bent over backwards to make my stay fantastic. The hotel is also in a great location, just steps away from the lifts at La Tzoumaz, which is a part of 4 Vallees

Fabulous Ski Hotel
Service was above and beyond. Location is fabulous. Food was excellent. Room is simple but very clean and comfortable. Great place to stay. Convenient alternative to staying in Verbier. Will be back.

enjoyed stay at this rustic hotel
Breakfast buffet was marginal. No elevator so if you are on the fourth floor, it's a hike. Great location across from the gondola. Good restaurant. Staff very helpful and friendly. Small bath room s. Quick access to Verbier area via the La Tzoumaz gondola nearby but no way to get there at night. Not a place to stay if you want to party.
