Perfect hotel for a city break. Very nice breakfast, good traditional vibes and lovely staff. The property has everything you need for a few nights including access to spa and pool. Great location, walkable and very well connected through public transports

I like the bar/courtyard area and the serice. I didn't like the coldness of the room but it did heat up after maintenance intervened. The bathroom was 'baltic' caused by old ill fitting window. The room was unsitable for a booking and should not be given to any guest. Very, very disappointed.

Amazing Wedding stay
We stayed in Edinburgh for 2 nights to get married. When the hotel found out they were so amazing! They upgraded our room and made such a fuss at every opportunity! It made our wedding so much more of an incredible experience than it already was! We can’t speak highly or thank them enough!

This historic hotel was perfect for our visit. The property was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The onsite restaurant and bar were nice for a relaxing evening or nightcap. The location is convenient as it makes walking to nearby sites like local shops, restaurants, and the Edinburgh Castle very easy. Highly recommended and would stay there again.

The staff here is amazing. The property isn’t new and doesn’t have luxurious accommodations but it doesn’t matter. The history and the beauty of the surrounding area makes up for it. And the staff is absolutely wonderful. One of the best concierge staff ever. Extremely helpful, so friendly and nice. Easily accessible to many attractions and lots of shopping and dining options around.

Unbelievable two night stay
The most incredible two nights at The Caledonian. The service was perfect and all the staff were so helpful and welcoming. We were there for our honeymoon and they made it so so special. Had treatments at the spa which were great and they have a small pool and jacuzzi which gave us a quiet place to relax. It’s in a great location and there are fantastic bars and restaurants around.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The room was small but elegant. The view was beautiful from our room. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff is wonderful. We loved using the amenities (pool etc.). The dining options were fabulous. Loved the breakfast buffet. It is in a fantastic location too.

There are so many things to say about this property, but the staff was the shining star. Everyone from the door staff to the front desk, concierge, and bar was kind and extremely helpful. They helped curate our experience both inside and outside the hotel and made our trip one of a kind. The property is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious. We will 100% stay at this hotel again the next time we are in Edinburgh.

Beautiful hotel. Delays and Issues checking in, and obtaining a receipt when checking out. Booked thru Expedia, payment upon arrival at Hotel … contacted hotel directly, still no invoice received by email. Frustrating.
