Le Peyrat is is a self catering Villa, ideal for children and adults. A newly converted barn positioned in 2 acres of mature gardens with a private securely fenced heated pool. The living area is centered on a beautiful open minstrel gallery, with a stunning chandelier. There is a large well equipped kitchen and dining area opening onto a terrace with a stream running beneath it, ideal for relaxing. The large lounge living area is light and airy, overlooked by the upstairs gallery, with satellite TV / DVD and a small area for the children to relax and play. French doors open onto a large terrace with a barbecue, overlooking the pool, mature gardens and children's play area with a treehouse table tennis and trampoline. A beautiful shaded seating area with sofas has been added to the garden so parents can relax while watching their children play, or simply enjoy a quiet place to sit and read. Our guests spend most evenings in the this area relaxing. In addition to this there is a boules court, babminton rackets and tennis rackets available. Bikes can be hired locally, all children bikes are free of charge if adult bikes are rented.
Le Peyrat has its own chef , Marc who cooks at the house on request , he is very popular for special occasions but also with families with young children. He also can delivery meals daily that are prepared, but need reheating.
Marc also offers wine tasting experiences at the house and Périgord themed cooking courses using local ingredients.

The many picnic benches in the shade of the trees are scattered around the beach area .
There is a path around the lake which is perfect for walking and also for keen fisherman the lake offers plenty of quiet areas to fish in the shade, although a license is required to do so.

A great property, very comfortable, needs a little TLC. Very well equiped kitchen,a great fridge,we had lovely evenings in front of the fire with our after dinner aperitif. A very relaxing oasis ,we all had great sleeps. Convienient location for exploring the Bordeau area. Easy train connection to Bordeau city, and very close to a great supermarket in Montpon. Vacation
Enjoyed our time at this property with integrated rustic wood beams and natural exposed stone. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparing and cooking meals. The large fridge/freezer provided for ample food storage and the dishwasher made easy work of the clean-up (laundry machine was located close by with utility sink). The adjacent dining room is perfect for long multi-course dinners with wine (plenty of wine glasses and decanters were also available). The living room is comfortable with couches and a nice TV system with plenty of available channels to select from. There are also numerous board games available to play. There were plenty of bedrooms to select from, with one on the first floor and others upstairs with bathrooms. Outside there are many options for spending time with friends and family. A deck with seating, the heated pool, a covered seating area, a table tennis table, and more. Unfortunate we didn't have too much opportunity to utilize these wonderful features due to a patch of rainy weather but certainly the options are there when the weather is fine. The home is located just outside a small village so is very peaceful and relaxing. Lots of open fields and quiet roads for walking / cycling. We had a vehicle to use while staying at the house. This worked great as it allowed us to visit many local villages / markets, points of interest, chateau / wineries, restaurants (highly recommend Buckets as a place to reserve lunch / dinners), etc. Thx Tracy!

Brilliant family accommodation, very spacious and very well equipped. Huge enclosed grounds and excellent swimmiing pool. Tracy our host was always on hand as and when we had queries about the house or local amenities and her recommendation about Buckets resturant was particularly a boost.

Great Host
A lovely home, perfect for multiple couples or large families. We stayed in Tracy's home just a short walk from the small village of Saint Martin de Gurson. In the village is a great Boulangerie with a very nice owner. This home is also close to Saint Emillion, which you definitely must visit. The home has 5 bedrooms all with ensuites which was perfect for our group. And a 6th bedroom with no ensuite. Great outdoor spaces and a very nice kitchen. The kitchen is large for European standards. We enjoyed the pool. But the most important thing about this VRBO is Tracy the host. She communicated extremely well with check in information and gave us great recommendations for the area. I highly recommend staying in this home.

Fabulous Gem for family enjoyment
Tracy the owner made our stay fabulous. The property was much larger than the pictures tried to show. There are endless areas to enjoy a very quiet time. The pool area and the backyard are amazing. The house is very large and very well suited. The fireplace was a bonus for all of us to enjoy. Many details in the kitchen, the amenities were numerous and welcomed. Kudos to Tracy, who could be reached and responded very quickly to few basic questions. Thank you Tracy! You gave us the opportunity for my family to share this wonderful gem. Your kindness and humor enlighted our wonderful memories. Kudos, definititely recommended.

A celebration stay
The property was excellent with so many items provided for the children from toys to DVDs to the garden to the swimming pool. Our contact with Tracy was the best experience that we have ever had with an owner - we could not have asked for better response and attention. Tracy was able to liaise with Mark over a special dinner. Mark was excellent - the food was amazing and one of our party commented that the duck was the best that he had ever tasted. Mark also provided local wines - at our request - and these were also delicious. All in all this was the best self catering experience that we have ever had and I would no hesitation in recommending the property to anybody. Thank you Tracy.

A brilliant family holiday!
We had the most enjoyable stay at Le Peyrat. We were a three generation family, celebrating a special anniversary. The lovely, spacious house accommodated our big family group brilliantly. Although the weather was extremely hot, the house and grounds and especially the much appreciated pool provided us with areas of shade and places to keep cool. Tracy was so helpful and made us feel at home. The meal cooked by the chef Marc on our last evening was a highlight. We also enjoyed trips to St Emilion, Bergerac and local markets. This is place where memories are made. We would highly recommend.

Fabulous house and garden in the heart of beautiful countryside
This was the perfect house for us- an extended family of 12 people including grandparents, teenagers and the littlest one of 8 yrs. The property is spacious with en suite bathrooms for all the adults and loads of room for the kids. The garden is huge and beautifully kept- and the trampoline and table tennis were a huge hit with the kids! There were little corners of the garden to lose everyone if you needed a bit of peace and quiet too, but the pool was great, surrounded by pretty flowers and shrubs, but with plenty of sunbathing space too. The property was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen contained everything you could need to cook for a big family- although the evening we hired the local chef was fantastic and great value! We mainly stayed around the house and pool, but we did find time to go paddle boarding at the lac de Gurson which was brilliant with a really nice cafe and very clean toilets! We also went to the night market at Le Pizou on Tracy’s recommendation- arriving at 6.30 as she suggested. We had a fabulous evening with fantastic local food and entertainment! We honestly couldn’t fault this beautiful property and would love to return one day. Tracy was so helpful with anything we needed, but never obtrusive in way at all. Just a brilliant holiday!

Excellent house, grounds and facilities
Tracy provided us with a perfect house, grounds and facilities for our family holiday. All 6 adults, one 18 yr old and 3 children (10, 8, 5) had a wonderful time. The house was exceptional, very comfortable and overly provided with dining-kitchenware and utensils; wonderful pool and grounds for us to all chase around.......the work involved in preparing everything for the next guests is very extensive and Tracy is to be congratulated on such a high standard. Highly recommended.

A wonderful family holiday
We spent a wonderful week at this property and would happily visit again. As an extended family group, including 3 children under 3, this was an excellent house with everything we could need. The garden is very child friendly, as is the pool with the fence and alarm system. We had some lovely dinners out on the decking and enjoyed exploring the local area. The host Tracy was on hand to help out with any enquiries we had, helping to arrange taxis and recommending lots of things in the local area. Thanks again for a wonderful week!

Family birthday celebration at Le Peyrat
The house and grounds were beautiful and perfect for a family. Apart from visiting a local lake we spent an idyllic week swimming and enjoying the garden. The children were never bored and loved the outdoor play area. The adults played table tennis and relaxed in the excellent outdoor seating areas. It was so relaxing and absolutely perfect. The host worked tirelessly to ensure our stay was perfect, keeping the pool sparkling and lawn mowed but was never intrusive. Complimentary bottles of wine on arrival and milk in the fridge. We arranged for a local chef, Marc, to cook the birthday meal and it was indescribably good. I will hesitate to do anything similar in the future because I don’t see how anything could come close. Mark cooked an amazing meal, served it and cleared up. It was incredible value. All in all an unforgettable stay. Thank you Tracy for allowing us to stay in your home and thank you to Mark for making our celebration perfect Vivienne Pearson

Had a great 2 weeks here. The house was perfect for two families, with excellent kitchen and living room and en suites in all but one room. A Lovely Relaxing Holiday Had a amazing time in Le Peyrat. This property has everything you need to have the perfect Holiday with the family. The House is beautifully designed. With a large well equipped kitchen and dining area. The living room was large and comfortable and easily catered for our family. Bedrooms were beautiful and spacious with really good quality mattresses… Garden areas ( which there are many ) were stunning and well maintained. There were so many areas to either sit out and dine or to find quiet spots to relax. In addition, there is so many things to do in the garden to keep the kids occupied. Swimming pool is wonderful with plenty of sun loungers and Parasols Tracey the property owner was always available when needed and nothing was ever to much to ask. Tracy’s recommendations for restaurants were outstanding. The food was incredible. We have stayed in many Holiday Homes throughout France over the years and this property is the best we have stayed in by some distance. I really cant recommend this property enough. We had such a good time and loved every minute of it. We are hoping to go back next year. Peter Jones

Excellent property and location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were a group of 5 adults and 4 children comprising 3 generations we had plenty of space. The property was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. The grand children loved the pool and couldn't get enough. The weather was great but as expected this time year a couple of days were cooler but having a huge wood burning stove with a plentiful supply of wood meant the whole house became warm and cosy. My grandson wanted to learn ride a bicycle. We were loaned one which I thought was a great touch. Tracy was fantastic host. She was always available if we need recommendation for places to visit or eat. The market a St Foy la Grande was a great recommendation as was The Bucket Auberge Inn restaurant which provide meals tailored to the grand children's taste. We were all sad to leave. I would definitely recommend this whole experience it was excellent.

A birthday celebration with extended family
Great for families and children with pool, indoor and outdoor toys and trampoline. Tracy is very easy to contact and services the pool every day. She had good suggestions for places to visit and experience. The chef that came to the house to cook a wonderful birthday for our extended family was such an amazing experience and definitely recommended. The boulangerie in Saint Martin is closed temporarily which meant a short drive to the nearby village. The Lac du Gurson is another good family day out. We all enjoyed every minute of our holiday week.
