The whole reason we picked this location was for the pool/water slide and was informed at check-in that thr pool was closed on our departure day. We have three children and would not have booked this location had we known that. I would prob not book this location again based o. This negative experience and lack of transparency.

We were there for 7 days. We really liked the suite we were in after traveling to differnt cities duriing the day to see the sights. It was nice to come in and relax on the couch and watch tv or read. But the room needed to be updated. the couch needed new cushions. The room could use new pillows and mattress. The tv only received half of the channels that were listed on the schedule. The tv also would go in and out several times a day which we did let the desk know. The breakfast was good, but it was the same things for the 6 mornings we were there. They only had fruit for 3 of the days. The lobby was nice and comfortable. It was also nice that we received a free drink daily for our travels. The staff was very helpful. We would definitely stay there if we came to South Dakota again.

This was a big motel and I got a top floor room so it would be quieter, but the neighbors next to me made a good bit of noise. Overall though, the place was very good

When we arrived our room had not been cleaned. They switched us to a different room but the shower floor was dirty, the bed was very uncomfortable, pillows were hard. Keys didn’t want to work. Ice machine was to far from room. Some of the staff were rude.

Staff was great. Had problems with toilet not flushing and the tub not draining very well. Fixed very promptly. Continental breakfast was great. Rooms became a little stale after showering. No fan in bathroom. Shower area looked a bit scummy around base of shower. Beds were comfy, spacious room size. Overall very satisfied.

This place looks great on the surface but is anything but. The hotel is not properly maintained. The tub knob would not pull up to activate the shower properly (I actually almost pulled it off the wall) so the tub filled while leaving the shower with little pressure. All faucets spray in every direction due to calcium buildup. And with all the hard water problems, they didn’t even have lotion as an amenity!! They also charge a ‘resort fee’ due to the water slide on the premises. Which would be great but you have to PAY EXTRA! They charge you a fee on top of the room but that isn't enough, you have to pay to use it. Needless to say, it went unused the entire time we were there. The staff were terrible. We waited 8 minutes while 2 people chatted about something on the computer and at checkout no "how was your stay" or "thank you" or "have a nice day". Nothing. Just go elsewhere - for the price there are lots of options and they won't charge you extra to pay for the waterslide sticking out of the building.

This hotel is very conveniently located - and fairly busy as you aren't the only person who's noticed. We were here in August - breakfast and the pool were both very busy. Rooms are a bit small, and the pool is the smallest I've seen at an AmericInn. There's a waterslide tube and a hot tub (if there are 3 people or fewer in it, grab your opportunity) as well as an outdoor firepit. In-room microwave and fridge; room had a shower, no bath, with sink outside. Windows can be opened. There was some confusion at the front desk about how often housekeeping comes by (they might empty the trash daily; cleanup is every 3 days). Good value.
