Barefoot combines the exclusivity and privacy of a large beachfront villa with the amenities and comforts of a boutique hotel. Located on a beautiful beach 2 minutes from the bars and restaurants of Cabarete and just 10 minutes from the party town of Sosua, Barefoot was designed to give our guests a spot where they can both party and chill.
THE PROPERTY: Our guests have nicknamed Barefoot "The Compound" and here's why - when a group books Barefoot they have the place to themselves - no other guests. Just your people and your guests. Our base rate is for up to 22 guests. Please add a $50 fee, per night, per additional guest, from 23 to 32.
- BEDROOMS - Each of our 10 bedrooms is equipped with pillow-topped beds, flat-screen TVs, a full en-suite bathroom, and balconies facing beautiful ocean views. There is daily maid service just like a hotel.
- INFINITY POOL AND BIG JACUZZI HOT TUB - Both of these features are at the center of the property and are open 24 hours a day for use. This is an IDEAL location for a DJ Pool Party. Remember - the property is all yours!

Wonderful Family Reunion
The location and customer service of this property cannot be rated highly enough. The all-inclusive food/beverage package was amazing; cuisine was exceptional. Nina was superb, as well as Ariel and Angel. I think the breakfast buffet could use a few more items. Absolutely wonderful experience!

Barefoot Beach Pad
Nina and her staff (bartenders, pool guy, cooks, house keeper, etc) did a phenomenal job tending to 21 people’s needs everyday. Especially the bartenders, this group likes to drink lots of alcohol…and they were able to keep up with our needs. It was super easy to stay in touch with Nina for whatever questions or concerns that we had. However, this is NOT a complaint but rather more of a suggestion for the resort owners. The platform and walkway tiles around the hallways and hot tub is super dangerous when WET! Please do yourself a favor and address this issue because we had one person slip and fall, luckily not injured but she is sore, and multiple close calls. The theme night dinners for each day was a great idea, and who would have thought that “Asian Night” dinner was going to be such a big hit being cooked by a non-Asian person. However, one other suggestion for us sweet-tooth Americans…and that is to have more dessert choices included into the meals instead of just very soft melted ice cream every other day. Overall, fantastic time!

Great Time!
We had just a short stay however we had a blast! Rooms were spacious and clean and staff very nice and welcoming. Only a couple of things I noticed were that the online listing was slightly off in what was included, somethings were fees we didn't realize. Communication was a little bit tricky prior to our arrival and we had some misunderstandings, but we were able to work it out. My one real complaint would be that a lot of the pool chairs were broken and need replacing. Overall, the staff was great, the food was delicious, and we would definitely go back!!

Wonderful 50th anniversary gathering

Amazing property for large groups
Yes, the reviews are really true. Barefoot beach is out of this world. My family of 21 persons, ages 5-65, just returned from the most magical week at Ben and Evelyn's beautiful beachfront property. Months before our arrival they reached out and a month prior arranged everything from airport shuttles, catered meals, photographer, and day trips to ziplining, horseback riding, and ATVing. The pool/beach and food service exceeded our expectations. The staff is so incredibly welcoming. I would definitely recommend at least B/fast and dinner for a large group. B'fast was out of this world and held us to early afternoon. We orginally thought about just doing dinners but honestly, while the supermarket is close, its just not worth the time, money or stress to prepare your meals. The quality and portions are so generous, we had leftovers for mid-day holdovers. You will want to relax with your group, so let them.Beach has fun waves and we were in the ocean every day but young kids or weak swimmers just need to stay waist high if current is strong. Bonfires at night, views of ocean from the hot tub and pool, and they provide a bartender from 3pm-11pm who will make any drinks from the alcohol/mixers you provide. Nina, their concergie, is amazing and will arrange taxis/shuttles, and all your off day trips. The owners Evelyn and Ben will be accessible throughout your stay and make sure you are well taken care of. Our stay at Barefoot has been the best family vacation by far.

Awesome 30th birthday/college reunion trip!
We booked with Barefoot way in advance and had a lot of time to hype up the trip - and it well exceeded our expectations. We had a group of 24 college friends celebrating our 30th birthdays/college reunion and the property is awesome - tons of space with the rooms all with their own bathrooms, plus tons of outdoor covered space, the bar, loft, pool, and not to mention the whole beach right in front of you. We enjoyed all of the food that was prepared, especially the pig roast and Dominican Night. Nina helped arrange a delicious dulce de leche birthday cake for us. The staff were so friendly and always ready to help or mix us another drink. The villa arranged all of our outings and shuttles which made things so easy for a central place to coordinate and pay on one invoice. We had a great time on our cave hiking tour and catamaran sunset tour. We hope to make this a recurring trip and would not hesitate to book with Barefoot Beach Pad again!

Amazing Spot for Families
We had a fantastic experience at Barefoot! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We had 4 families: 8 adults and 17 children. We took advantage of the all inclusive option- TOTALLY the way to go!
The food was wonderful! Favorites were the grouper tenders, papas fritas, Mexican Night, Asian Night & the Pig Roast! But honestly, all the food was great. Having the bartenders on site was a plus, they were so personable & really made the trip extra special. There was a large speaker there to play music, so no need to bring one.
Nina & Ariel were incredible & helped book excursions & cater to all of our needs. The staff were top notch-from the cooks to the grounds staff. It felt like family by the end of our stay.
Excursion/Activity Notes:
-Riverboat tour was great, especially for our kids! The meal there was INCREDIBLE.
-Horseback Riding was the favorite tour for many in our group. Tommy & his team were so kind and wonderful, especially with the kids. The tour was breathtakingly beautiful. **Wear pants & closed toed shoes you can get wet.
-Massages on site. This was amazing! Especially on the evening of our travel day. We took advantage of this almost everyday.
-Surfing: We went to the surf beach for this because it was too rough at the house. The beach was beautiful and there were many instructors & everyone got one on one attention. We did this twice.
-Snorkeling was great, lots of visibility.
-Monkey Jungle & Ziplining- great mission & fun but the zipling is not really for young kids.

Perfect Vacation with Friends
We stayed at Barefoot for a week with a group of 16 friends, and got the all inclusive food package.
This is an amazing property with breathtaking views of the ocean, and nice areas to hang out, play games, party, watch movies, etc.
The beach is also very nice, and we had a few calm days during our stay, allowing us to hang out on the beach and in the ocean for several hours each day.
Ben, Nina, and Ariel catered to our every single need and request, and were super responsive. During the first few days of our stay, we had an issue with our food. Ben personally met with us, and had a few suggestions to resolve the issue and made sure everybody in the group enjoys their vacation and is happy.
If you book excursions, our group really liked the magic mushroom. If you get the food package, our favourites were Mexican, Indian, Dominican, and Asian.

Perfect Family Beach Time
This was perfect for our large family group of 23 adults and kids. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed our bartender Angel. The food was delicious. The outdoor setting for food, drinks and family time was great as well as it being beach front. I would recommend this for a large group since the whole place was ours. A Perfect Vacation
We were a group of 20 family and friends, here for a full week to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday. We spent months researching what we hoped would be the perfect spot. We found it. Clean, amazingly good food (as in, some of the best food any of us have ever had on vacation), incredibly helpful staff (special thanks to Nina, the property manager who made sure we had a fantastic experience), delicious drinks (shout out to Ariel who made the best frozen drink of the week), and a safe, comfortable atmosphere. We played in the ocean, played in the pool, hung out for hours in the covered spaces, enjoyed dozens of massages, went on fun excursions set up by Nina, and wanted for nothing. To top it off, the owners, Ben and Evelyn came by multiple times to make sure we were having fun and didn’t need anything. We caught some wahoo deep sea fishing one day, and Evelyn made us homemade ceviche, which is the best we’ve ever had. Just incredible. Words don’t do justice to the phenomenal experience we had. Thanks to everyone involved. We will be back!

I chose this beautiful villa for my bachelorette. This was the perfect pick. Now it was far from STI airport. That was the only negative. POP airport is a lot closer but also a lot more expensive to fly into. None the less Ben and Nina were perfect host. They made sure everything was accounted for.. great food, transfers, excursions they were thorough flexible and very accommodating. We had Asian night and Mexican night and my friends still rave about that darn Asian night. Food was amazing. Staff was there around the clock security too. I felt like a bride to be because they was there to service our every need. The place was clean exactly like pictures. I would ask for some more full size body mirrors in the room but each room was clean spacious and had their own bathroom and balcony. They had pool toys for us .. a jacuzzi I mean .. they are doing what needs to be done. Honestly. I would do it all over again with friends and or family. It was perfect. My pictures looks like screen savors. We got massages and played pool and just had a ball. The location was not far from the beach bars either. They made this so easy for me honestly. Book them. We are young black women. This was some ppls first time out the country and they set the bar for them for sure. Well done

Bachelorette weekend
What a wonderful four nights we had at this villa! The owners, management, bartenders, chefs, cleaning service was exceptional! The pictures online don’t do it justice! It was the perfect location for a bachelorette weekend. We did a couple of mornings of yoga, one night with a DJ pool party, full chef service every day for breakfast and dinner! Perfect Vacation
I have nothing but great things to say about Barefoot Beach Pad. We traveled with 12 guest for a week vacation. The accommodations are as pictured and more.
Nina was amazing!!! She coordinated our all inclusive package request and assisted with travel and excursion arrangements.
The bar tenders Alex and Richard were great! They can make some fantastic coctails! The maid service kept our rooms tidy and the grounds guy was wonderful keeping the property beautiful and beach clean during our stay. The kitchen crew is sure to keep you well feed with some delicious meals.
The owener Ben was so nice. He chatted with us and assisted with dinner service one evening. His sweet wife even made us some yummy dessert.
Definitely recommend and would stay again!!!

We will remember this family vacation for a lifetime. I cannot say enough great things about Barefoot Beach Pad! Ben and his staff are truly top notch! Our group of 20 people consisted of 12 adults, two teens (15 and 18), 4 toddlers (2 to 4) and 2 infants. Barefoot Beach Pad was our home away from home for a week. The staff catered to us, played with the toddlers, held the babies, cooked for us, cleaned the rooms daily, cleaned the spa daily, skimmed the pool daily, and cleaned the grounds daily. We had a total of 25 massages on demand - you ask for it, it’s done! The food is fresh and delicious. If you get the all-inclusive plan, the fish sticks on the lunch menu are amazing!! Ben cooks himself if you order Indian night or Asian night - he’s a great chef!
The beach is footsteps away - literally in your backyard - for daily beach walks. Private property and private beach area. We went for ATV rides, horseback rides, zip lining, sliding in waterfalls, a trip to Cabarete and Puerto Plata. Everything arranged by Ben’s staff was superbly done - even the taxi service they arranged,
My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! If you’re contemplating staying at Barefoot Beach Pad - book it - you won’t regret it!

Between Ben and Nina as well as the staff this is going to be a trip you’ll never forget. They help you plan out every detail of your stay. This is the 5th year I’ve booked a big trip with my friends to a beach vrbo rental. It was by far the easiest and pain free one I’ve done. You cannot go wrong with booking at this property. They will treat you like family!!!

Annual trip
We had our 4 families' annual trip with all 10 kids, and it was a wonderful experience. The owners Ben & Evelyn and property manager Nina were always available by messenger and stopped by often to check in. Anything we mentioned such as more gluten free food or a passing fancy for a hammock, appeared in short order! Any activity we desired was arranged. We used to option for all inclusive food and drinks, this was prompt and the food varied. The beach was a bit rough and we had a couple close calls with the smaller children (age 10) so you have to be very careful of the undertow! There is no fence around the pool (common outside US) so you have to keep this in consideration and keep any kids not Excellent swimmers In their flotation devices. The rooms were cleaned daily. Everyone working on the property was very friendly (except night security guard). You can not walk to town, unless you try to go by beach which depending on the tide is near impossible at times. Better off to have them arrange a can to sousua or cabarete. We will be back !

Ben and his crew were so awesome to work with. You could communicate with them anytime/anywhere for questions. With a group of 19 there were things that we forgot and they were always so helpful and accommodating. The place was amazing!! They thought of EVERYTHING to make this the most comfortable, safe and fun place to stay. The rooms all had an ensuite that were cleaned everyday with fresh linens. There was also a bar with bartender, kitchen with cooks (or you could cook your own but prices were so cheap, we went with the cooks) and a concierge. There was also a security officer at night. We always felt safe!! The pool and hot tub were also cleaned everyday. The beach was excellent and you have it all to yourselves. It was very quiet and peaceful... a little piece of heaven.

NEW FRIENDS/FAMILY
FROM OUR VERY FIRST CONVERSATION WITH BEN WE KNEW WE WERE IN GREAT HANDS. HE, EVELYN, NINA, JEFFREY, RICHARD AND ALL OF THE BEAUTIFUL SOULS AT BAREFOOT BEACH PAD TRULY MADE THE WEEK EVEN MORE SPECIAL THAN IF WE HAD CHOSEN ANY OTHER PLACE. THEY ARE OUR FRIENDS/FAMILY. THEY ARRANGED A SPECIAL BRTHDAY CAKE, ALL OF OUR TOURS, OUR TRIPS TO SHOP AND WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO FULFILL ANY REQUEST. BEN EVEN COOKED ONE OF THE DINNERS AND IT WAS DELECIOUS! THAT BEING SAID, THE PROPERTY WAS EQUALLY AS WONDERFUL. MOST OF OUR DAYS WERE SPENT ENJOYING THIS SUPRISE OF A PERFECT SPOT FOR SO MANY. A PLACE WHERE WE COULD BE TOGETHER OR APART OR SITTING AT THE BAR WATCHING THE ONES IN THE OCEAN OR RELAXING IN THE POOL LISTENING TO THE MUSIC AND LAUGHTER FROM THE BAR/CRAFT AREA OR EVEN WHEN SPENDING SOME QUIET TIME READING WHILE STILL BEING "WITH" EVERYONE. IT WAS A FANTASTIC WEEK AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO GOING BACK SOONER RATHER THAN LATER.

Great group getaway
20 of us ~ family and friends ~ wanted to get away for my husbands 65th birthday. We ranged in age from 30 - 65 and everyone had a fabulous time! The staff was attentive and helpful and the food was amazing!
