"What a jem! We really enjoyed our time at Captain Hirams. Blackfins had great service and good food. We particularly enjoyed our breakfast. The bar staff was friendly and fun. We did have an issue with our room but the staff took care of us immediately. Our room was clean, large, and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. We will return."

"My family enjoyed spending a week at this great property. The property was as advertised offering beach access off the back deck and a great dock across the street. We found the property to be well appointed and a great size for our family of five. The host was extremely responsive the couple of times that we reached out to her. Overall it was a great experience. "

"Lovely little house. Very cozy and accommodating for a couple or family with young children. Nice views of both the ocean and the Indian River side. Great for dolphin and sea turtle watching. Other than our trash already being full when we arrived, it was a nice vacation and everything went smoothly while there. Landscaping is pretty scarce in the back, but they had some hurricane damage and that’s to be expected. "

"This property is truly a one-of-a-kind experience with historical significance. You can’t find a rental like this anywhere else! The accommodations were wonderful and there was plenty of space for all. The property is RIGHT on the ocean, literally step out the back door onto the deck and step down the stairs to the ocean. Our host, Deanna, was spectacular to deal with and gave us invaluable information about the area and things to watch out for and see/do in the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better overall experience for our Christmas vacation. The attention to detail was in abundance throughout the property! You really got a feel for how special the house and area surrounding it are. This property had all the amenities you could ask for, including a pool and hot tub in addition to the roaring ocean! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a very unique and memorable experience on the ocean! "
