Yosemite Redwood Chalet is open. This is a wonderful mountain cabin located 5 minutes off the southern Yosemite highway and 15 minutes from the Sierra National Forest and Nelder Grove of the Giant Redwoods. This chalet is freshly remodeled with everything brand new inside. King beds in all rooms with new granite and stainless appliances in the kitchen. New wood stove, new modern bathrooms new decks and brand new hot tub. The chalet is right off the road to Nelder Grove and the shadow of the giants trail. With its perfect location for visiting the Yosemite area you can enjoy the cozy upscale interior and the charming architecture of this attractive chalet. Wildlife is all around this neighborhood which is nestled up to the Sierra national forest and the southern boundary of Yosemite National Park. Deer frequent this neighborhood year around and can be frequently seen munching grass in the front yard while you enjoy a nice cup off coffee on the deck. With its unique hill top location a nice breeze blows through keeping the cabin pine fresh and cool in the summer. Just minutes away from Bass Lake, Nelder Grove, The South Gate and town the chalets location is perfect for all your vacation needs. We enjoyed our stay
Location is convenient to Yosemite but was a little extra drive to Sequoia & Kings canyon. We were a little frustrated with the A/C as it never really cooled the upstairs bedrooms below about 78 degrees. It was stuffy at night trying to sleep. We didn’t like that both bathrooms were downstairs so at night you had to stumble down the stairs& through the house. But the views were beautiful & we enjoyed watching the wildlife while sipping early morning coffee & while soaking in hot tub after hiking during the day. Overall we were satisfied and would recommend.

The property has a lot of potential. It's 20 minutes away from the Yosemite Park entrance (if you don't hit traffic) and 12 minutes away from the gorgeous Bass Lake.

Family-friendly, quiet cabin with an open and spacious backyard. It takes about twenty minutes to drive to the south entrance to Yosemite. The manager is very nice and provides very useful travel information. We enjoyed our stay.

Great cozy cabin with amazing views. Cool mountain air made for very comfortable sleeping temperature at night. Spotted some wild deer and quail walking through the property. Very quiet and peaceful community. Just a short 8 min drive into town.

Great for a family getaway
The chalet was clean, cozy - the beds were very comfortable and I am NEVER able to sleep well on vacation. It was so wonderful to sleep so well. We were very happy that this home was close to both the train ride that we went on and a really nice little trail nearby that had the most beautiful little lagoon. My little one had a blast playing there for over an hour like it was her own little beach. The trip to Yosemite was longer than anticipated, but that's because the entrance is about an hour or so from the actual village and I just wasn't aware of that. It was a beautiful drive though - except for the turns without guardrails and steep drops. I had a few heart attacks. Grocery store is close by and it was a safe location for sure. We saw deer and watched meteor showers in the hot tub. Made some fantastic memories and got some gorgeous photos!! Thanks so much for allowing us to stay :)

Great place for family vacation
The Redwood Chalet is beautiful 2-story house near the Sierra National Forest. I did indeed see a deer one evening in the long driveway. We were on vacation with our dog, and explored the beautiful Lewis Creek trail accessible only a few miles from the Chalet. The location is also close to the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad and restaurants/groceries in Oakhurst. The Chalet has good air conditioning that kept us cool in the heat of the summer. The kitchen and TVs worked well. The grounds were well kept. We felt welcomed by the property manager, who was eager to help if we had questions.

We had a great time here! Comfortable and clean. Beds were super comfy. Close to Yosemite and especially close to the Sugar Pine Railroad, which my kids loved! Would definitely recommend!

We loved our stay here. Starting from the property manager contacting us and giving us great information about the area and answering any questions. Check in was a breeze and we entered a clean, and cool house during the heat wave. The cabin was very comfortable, easy to keep cool and had what we needed. The property was beautiful, and we saw deer and other wildlife around, it was quiet and peaceful. We went to Yosemite a couple times, which was a very easy drive from here. Would definitely return on our next trip to the area!

The location was relatively close to Yosemite. It could have been cleaner and intermittent problems with AC. Two bathrooms and the hot tub were great. Nice to sit outside at night. The Yosemite guide book was really helpful. The kitchen was big and modern with a dishwasher.

Wonderful Cabin Near Yosemite and Bass Lake
I had a wonderful experience at the cabin. The area is very quiet and full of so much wildlife (deer, turkey, several species of birds). The cabin is well cared for and very clean. The cabin has all the comforts of home to include air conditioning for warmer summer months. The kitchen had all supplies required if you wanted to cook meals. The views of the mountains from the cabin were very calming and relaxing in the morning and evenings. The best part was the communications with the property manager Dee. Dee was so helpful with the check-in/check-out process and she even provided several recommendations for local hikes near bass lake. I would recommend this property for anyone visiting Oakhurst, Bass Lake or Yosemite.

Great spot for a Yosemite long weekend
We had a great time here! Ten min from Oakhurst for food and groceries, about an hour depending on traffic to the Yosemite valley floor, ten min from Bass Lake recreation spot and hikes and 30 min from Nelder Grove giant sequoias. Enough space for two couples and fully stocked kitchen with grill. Hot tub was a bonus!

Lovely place to spend time with family.
The kitchen was well equipped and plenty of clean and thick bathroom towels. We loved the outdoor space around the cabin for a quiet cup of coffee. The family enjoyed the hot tub. We enjoyed the three nights we stayed there and will come back again.

We had a beautiful Christmas here in 2021! We set up a fire in the wood stove, watched holiday movies on the smart TV, and enjoyed the hot tub as the snow fell. 1.5 hours to the Yosemite valley floor, and 30 min from the giant sequoia grove!

It is the perfect getaway! Beautiful views from inside and outside the cabin and a cozy environment.
We loved our trip! We were so sad to leave. The owner was so friendly and accessible We were very comfortable. The cabin offered views from the couch, the table, and the patio. We enjoyed the hottub and saw many deer when we woke up in the morning. They have everything you need and more. Books in every room, comfy mattresses, and a full kitchen. We did not find ourselves missing anything in this cabin. I cannot say enough good things. We will definitely return!

Yosemite in July
It was 100 degrees plus there, thank goodness the property had a powerful air conditioner to cool off. Neighborhood was quiet and enjoyed watching the wild turkeys coming through the property multiple days. Our property manager made a beautiful sign for me out of manzanita wood..... well my daughter stole it from me.

Nice stay close to Yosemite
We stayed here for 4 nights. Place is clean and comfortable. Communications with the host very easy and prompt. About 15 min to Yosemite entrance. Check in and check out seamless. Beds are comfortable, plenty of towels. Minimally stocked kitchen, so, if you are planning to cook anything, make sure bring with you spices, oil, foil, paper towels, etc. There is a bedroom downstairs and 2 bathrooms next to it, but no bathrooms upstairs next to 2 upstairs bedrooms. That was not a big deal for us at all, but it potentially could be for somebody else. The only annoying thing that we had was the fact that you cannot take shower in 2 bathrooms simultaneously since the water pressure will be non existent. It is fine while one person using one shower. So, we had to coordinate it. Otherwise, everything was great.

The place had some temporary repairs. David, the host, immediately moved us to another property. That was much bigger and better. He made sure we were comfortable. He even made wood artifacts with our name; yes, he is a wood artist. Very pleased with the stay and David’s hospitality. Would love to go back to their properties
