Wonderful stay, this hotel is older but beautifully maintained. Staff is super helpful and responsive. A perfect place if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of midtown but still have great access to everything. Safe to walk around. The restaurant next door is excellent for breakfast, lunch or a glass of wine!

A great and exceptional choice of stay in New York's Upper West Side! The hotel is very well kept and has a very prestigious feel! Not only were the staff very helpful they were also very inviting and took care of any needs during our stay! I took my 17 year old niece to NYC for her birthday. We had a wonderful stay. Very clean, comfortable and safe . The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would choose this hotel again for sure.

Great location and staff.
Service was excellent, staff pleasant and very responsive to requests. Beds are very comfortable, location is excellent with many small restaurants and markets close by. Broadway train station less than a block. Cons were...heat is turned down at night, with 40deg outside it was uncomfortably cool in the room. Also hot water was great in am but down to lukewarm by evening. With the room cold and only warmish water, a pm shower wasn't possible. Would definitely stay again when it is not so cold.

AC didn’t work. Ran out of toilet paper and tissues in the first few hours. Staff not cordial. No rush to bring aforementioned paper products. The beds were like large pillows which you need a pole vault to get in or out of. Pillows are feather. Outdated lobby with conversations of one of two elevators breaking down.

My only suggestion: Upgrade the outlets so plugs don't slip out and provide phone charger ports on the night stands. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
