Only complaint was lobby bar only open from 5-10. Would have enjoyed a night cap after seeing a show. Totally understand hours are based on various factors. Juat thought it was worth mentioning.

This is my third stay at this hotel, and I've noticed some great improvements. The new bathroom, comfortable bed, and pillows are much appreciated. I will definitely stay here again. However, how can I book a room that overlooks the street instead of the internal yard?

I had the best sleep! The room was comfortable and the staff was amazing. My only complaint, the shower and sink had like warm water, and the bathroom wasn't well insulated, meaning a pretty cold shower experience in the morning!

The staff at the Ameritania was so warm and welcoming! I've stayed here before and love the convenient location (several subways nearby, and the park is a short walk) and the hotel decor/style. The rooms are pretty spacious by NYC standards and mine was exceptionally clean - shout out to housekeeping for a great job during my six day stay. I especially loved the apples in the lobby, the daily bottled water, and the wine happy hour - which made it feel like I was actually getting something from the residence fee. I will mention there's a currently big construction project across the street that is very noisy during the day, but it was quite (ish - the hotel overlooks Broadway!) during the evenings. I'd definitely stay here again!

Rooms are small and dated (Queen superior) Both room windows were ill fitted, one had zero sound proofing and the other remained open the entire stay (reported 3 times) Reception staff are unhelpful, bordering on rude and unless you tip Jeff (doorman) he is ignores you! Khalid, kaalid and Mohamed (doormen) were all sweet and helpful. Positives are, the location is fantastic, they also provide complimentary water (in room daily), in lobby coffee (7-11am and a glass of wine (5-6pm) which are all nice touches.

We had a lovely stay at the Ameritania. We booked a king size room and it was amazing with a brilliant view. Comfy bed and great air con system. Within walking distance of some great restaurants and convenience stores. Housekeeping were great!

Ok here is the deal: midtown location was good. The front desk people need to be more friendly. The doormen were great. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel could use an update. The mattress was saggy. Rooms a bit dated. No view. The rooms were very clean. Cleaning staff deserves credit. No restaurant. They do have coffee in the morning.

Location, location, location!
This was in the perfect spot for our trip! Just down the street from Central Park and Times Square but just far enough where the crowds were not nearly as bad. Loved the service as well.
