The art decor was very nice and welcoming. However, we expected more attention to detail. I requested a crib a week before the trip and was told it was noted for my room. When we arrived it was as if we were creating a reservation for the 1st time. We had to provide our names again it was weird. And then I had to call down and ask for the crib along with a working TV remote. I would suggest providing beach bags for guests that would be helpful. Overall it was okay. Some areas to polish if they really want to provide a luxury experience.

This is my second time staying at the Grand Hyatt. What I like most are the beautiful beach, the casinos and many of the restaurants. The pools are clean and there’s never an issue finding a beach chair. When I compare my experience this year to last year, I noticed some staff was unhelpful and at times rude. I will say, most staffers are very polite and eager to help. Tipping goes a long way and is very appreciated. The staff at Costa, Katsuya and Marcus go above and beyond to make your dining experience exceptional.

If you are expecting to enjoy good food, good customer service and Bahamian culture, them do not book your stay at Baha mar. It was very disappointing to see the big discrepancy between quality of service and prices. You will not see hotel guests eating or drinking by the beach or pools because most of the outside restaurants are either empty or overpriced. Unless you have breakfast at Starbucks you will be paying at least $50 for breakfast . For lunch and dinner you will be paying about $70 (not including drinks) and you will not be impressed at all. Locals are so used to exploiting tourists that they have normalized it. The hotel is only 7 years old and the pools are cracked and poorly maintained. I did enjoy the beach and the weather . I am glad I got to experience Bahamas but I will not be coming back.
