Cozy, Modern, Safe, Quiet Neighborhood, Minutes From Nashville's Top Attractions

Cumberland Cottage is tucked away on a quiet waterfront street that is steeped in history, with several famous old school Opry Stars living nearby. It's private and safe here. There is very little car traffic so it's great for walking around or riding bikes. We see deer, geese and turkey regularly, and enjoy fishing in the Cumberland River. Just down the street is a very quiet and historic park. It's a special neighborhood with friendly folks. Yet, it’s just minutes from the famous Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Opry Mills Mall and THE GRAND OLE OPRY. Within 4 miles there are over 2 dozen Restaurants & Nashville’s biggest Water Park. Downtown is only 18 minutes away, much closer than 95% of the waterfront homes in the greater Nashville Area. Two great golf courses are within 4 miles, uber and lyft are very familiar with the area, and a taxi service is based only 1.5 miles away.
Once you get here, you may not feel the need to leave. There's a fireplace in the living room and an outdoor fire bowl in the private backyard that's perfect for entertaining or relaxing. If you like to cook, you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen, with all the pots, pans, and small appliances of home. Outside on the back deck there’s a gas grill with a side burner where you fishermen can fry up the day’s catch.

Clean linens are provided on each bed. Cotton bath towels are also provided.

Each morning you’ll enjoy your breakfast and complimentary coffee in the sun-filled dining room, or take a walk down the quiet lane and listen to the birds and the river.
In the evening… enjoy the peace and quiet on the front or back porch. When it’s time to turn in each bedroom has an HD television, the first and second bedrooms sport new king beds and the third bedroom has a new queen bed. If you have a party of eight, two deluxe inflatable twin mattresses are available.

Other amenities include Washer/Dryer, Cable TV, Blu-Ray players, and High-speed WiFi.
All you need to bring is your clothes and your food. We provide coffee and some kitchen amenities. We go the extra mile for our guests and also provide eco-friendly bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

Great, relaxing home and location.
The home was perfect. Beds were comfortable, and it had everything we needed. The fenced backyard was great for our dogs as well as having 2 Rivers Dog Park about 4 miles away.Neighborhood was quiet, a lot of deer walking around.The location was also great for doing anything Opryland, less than 4 miles to the Grand Ole Opry, and Opry Mills Mall.We Ubered down to Broadway for about 20 bucks with 20% tip included in that price.If you want a few fun bars with cheap beer, check out Santa's Pub and Rosie's Keg II...Rosie's has great burgers.

Stay for meetings at Gaylord Opryland
John's house was perfect for me and my family (including dogs) when I had meetings at the Gaylord. Nice, quiet neighborhood with the river and woods around...even saw four deer. This was away from the city but convenient to everywhere we needed to go. The backyard was great for the dogs and the house was very comfortable.

Great weekend stay
Perfect size house that had everything we needed (including towels). Great quiet neighborhood and the perfect distance from downtown Nashville. Definitely better than staying in surrounding hotels. If the owner has properties in other cities, I would definitely stay there.

2nd time here!
Great spot for anyone travelling to Nash. We had a show at the Grand Ole Opry Friday night, and this place is spot on the best as its so near you don't even have to get on a highway! All the while tucked in a cute neighborhood in the woods. Broadway is a shortish drive away, or uber. We will stay again!

We spent a lovely week at Cumberland Cottage. We would stay again! Let me tell you why PRO: It was CLEAN! It was well equipped. Not only with dishes and pots and pans but nice extras like paper towels and napkins. Lots of linens and towels. The location was lovely. There are trees all along one side and the back of the house. And the river is in the front. When you look out the many windows, you see trees!! It was refreshing and restful. The living room furniture was comfy and the wood floors nice. The grill works! It is a very easy drive to Gaylord Opreyland if you are in town for a concert or conference. The 8 minute drive is pretty - a tunnel of trees and almost no traffic. We went back to the house for dinner breaks and almost everyone was turning the other way. The ceiling fans over every bed did a great job keeping the beds cool. Plus there was another fan you could move to use in any room you wanted. Last but most important (after being clean)- the host was very responsive and great to work with. CONS: If you are traveling with a baby who is a light sleeper, the first half of the hallway has a creaky floor. (It did not bother us!) I highly recommend this house!

Good Nashville Getaway Spot
Property was as advertised. The host was very responsive--- we had a minor issue that he promptly tended to. The property is near the Grand Ole Opry complex and a very manageable drive to downtown Nashville and other highlights. We liked being away from the hustle and bustle and would definitely book again

This property is a hidden gem within the city limits. Property is close to Opryland and shopping and a quick 20 min drive to Broadway. We loved how quiet the neighborhood was and also the woodsy feel of the area. John was great to communicate with on any questions we had. The house had everything we needed for a week’s stay! Hopefully we will be back soon to enjoy all Nashville has to offer.

Pretty Nashville Cottage
My husband and I came to Nashville for a little getaway to enjoy good music, good food, and the museums. This home was perfectly located away from all of the traffic and noise, but close enough to get to everything we came for in just a quick 20 minute drive. The house was decorated so cute! It had everything we could ever need and more than we expected! John was an excellent host He was quick to get back to us on any questions. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We needed nothing! I can’t wait to return to Nashville and John’s cottage by the river!! A definite 5 out of 5!!

Amazing location & communication!
Communicating with owner A+ Location A+ (10 minutes from sitting at Grand Ole Opry to living room) Check in process A+ Beds were comfortable. The only issue was the hardwood floors are very squeaky, noisy... I mean the whole house except for the master closet squeaks when anyone walks on the floors.
