Great view of the beach and a nice town

We had rooms looking out over the beach, which were just amazing. As we were there off-season (start of June), parking next to the hotel was easy. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Mildly disappointing that it didn't have coffee provided (even instant form). We paid for breakfast as the options outside the hotel weren't vast, but found breakfast was very good value, so we didn't mind. There are also a number of nice restaurants and bars nearby, which is something we weren't expecting.

The location to the beach and casino was convenient. Each room category is listed as having a balcony however our room did not have one. The pool is an extra $15 Euro per person for 90 minute access. The rooms could have been cleaner and the carpet in the hallways seemed old. There was a kitchenette in our room with no wine opener. We asked for one at the bar and they made us bring our wine down to be opened.

Great hotel with great views.

First time staying here and it proved to be a good experience. The hotel is in a great location with fabulous views of the beach and Atlantic, especially from the high floors.The staff were very friendly and professional. I found the hotel to be very clean and modern with a good restaurant and I highly recommend the breakfast. All in all an excellent hotel.

Comfort with an amazing sea view!

Our stay started with very good service on arrival at reception. Foyer was modern and felt very welcoming. Room was very clean and good facilities. There was a separate living area with seating, table and chairs and small kitchen area with fridge and microwave oven. There was a large sliding door that allowed the bedroom to be separated from the living area. Separate air conditioning units in both bedroom and living area. Additional facilities included a safe in the wardrobe and a hairdryer.

Nice hotel right on the beach but NO PARKING!

Very nice hotel right on the beach within walking distance to some restaurants and shops. Friendly staff, room very nice. Had an ocean front room but very noisy late at night with people out and about. The only major downside is that there is no parking! When you arrive it's hard to figure out where the hotel entrance is and then you have to drive around and look for in street parking or hope there's a spot in the paid parking lot.

Close to beach and shops etc

Nice modern hotel right facing the huge beach. Its a pretty quiet place and restaurants not as good as other areas we visited in Portugal. Had kitchenette in room and did not have breakfast or other meals in the hotel. Can be very windy on this coastline but still worth a visit. It took ten minutes to walk along the boards over sand to the beach!!

Probably better to book elsewhere

My fiancé and I have been traveling the coast of Portugal for over a week. There were 3 main reasons we chose to spend more and book this hotel in Figueria da Foz among the others: the free Wifi, the "free" parking, and the nice pool. The location is great, walking distance to lots of bars/cafes, and the view of the ocean and beach is magnificent. However, neither are worth the money. Our room was on the 10th floor and the wifi was spotty at best. I literally had to sit on a chair in the middle of the room to get 2 of 3 bars. The parking is free but it's public parking along the street. Luckily we were there during the slow season so keep that in mind if you're staying during high season. The most disappointing point was that the pool was an additional 15€ per person for limited time and required the guest to book a session ahead of time. We were not impressed with the service by the front desk although the maids were friendly. The room requires the key to be plugged in to use any electricity in the room and we only received one key which was irritating at times. We did like the bathroom because the shower was large and got very hot. I'm sad to say, I would not recommend this hotel.

Good choice

Excellent room - big, great views, small kitchen area. Beach access easy, a number of restaurants around No pool but a water circuit thats costs 15e for 90 mins. Free parking out on the streets, can be hard to find and a bit of a walk back to hotel.
