The first few minutes we were there a man came barging into our locked room with a card key. When the staff was told they offered nothing other than to give us new keys. There were people yelling in the hallway and on the street at night. We got very little sleep or rest as neither of us felt safe and there was too much noise. It was a frightening and exhausting experience. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel gets the job done. It’s on a busy street that can be loud at night so pick an upper floor if you can. Many restaurants outside offer amazing food from all parts of the world. The rooms themselves are dated and need repair and renovation l. There is a garage under the hotel, which is nice, especially if you’re arriving late. The café in the lobby offers quick breakfast so you can get out of the hotel quickly if you need to. The location with regard to the highways and Yale University is excellent.

Perfect if here visiting Yale!
Dated hotel, but you can tell they’re trying to keep it up. Very comfortable bed. Perfect walking distance for Yale. Although the area itself is rather shady, scary the closer to evening it gets.

Clean. Elevators are slow so we took stairs when we could. Hard to get the parking garage elevator. Temple street view is VERY LOUD. Especially Saturday nights. Would ask for a room not on temple street view if possible. Not sure if we would ever come back. Had to leave early because of noise.

Bougie But Worth It
Hotel was nicely located downtown and the garage was easy to find and access. Staff was super friendly and kept their communications with you to a minimum, which is much preferred. Surprisingly, their coffee shop had some really good coffee. Highly recommend getting one of their drinks. The room was wonderful and had an old age vibe to it, where you can tell it’s not modern by any standards but had this vintage feel to it. Bed was super soft and I slept like a baby. The free upgrade was also greatly appreciated since the view was more than pleasant. Housekeeping was not needed as they provided more than enough towels for a single traveller. Amenities were great though the fridge could have been colder as could have the thermostat as well. Overall, the stay and experience was more than enough to justify the slight premium for the Omni name. Would highly recommend their iced caramel macchiato.

While the stay was fine, I did not appreciate the attitude of the staff. The instructions for parking could've been more clear and it would've been helpful to know that parking is not included in your stay when booking through Expedia. The front staff employees weren't pleasant nor welcoming. However, if you don't care about service then this place is just fine.
