Grand dame, worth the visit, but showing its age..
Overall, I enjoyed a nice stay at this grand dame of S Florida hotels. The setting, property and hotel make for a worthwhile destination-accommodation, though all are showing a bit of age. Given the historic, burnished reputation of this true classic, some remodeling/refurbishment and refreshing are in order.

Property was big and historic. Arrived late and didn’t have time to really explore. Room 1105 smelled moldy and felt damp. Dust was all over vents and lamps. Would be cautious about staying again and getting a room with the same kind of mold smell. Didn’t sleep well and woke up with irritated eyes
